It's not exempted. Likely the dealer removed it because they knew no one wants braces on their beauties. I remember that was the case in the Bangalore showroom... they had a bunch of saree guards in the back because everyone would get them off before delivery.

Guys, am I the only one or do you also think that this Saree guard is one of the worst guard ever made, for any bike?

A beautiful machine's looks are compromised due to that hideous Saree guard, in my humble opinion. And if I get it, I will remove the saree guard, even if I don't get a left grab rail from Probiking.

Bajaj/Kawasaki wants N650 folks to go camping!!

That's why they have given that barbeque grill along with the bike

                      • If Triumph had no plans for india , I would have bought the Ninja 650.
It's really a great bike . My mind says Ninja 650 and heart says daytona 675.

Is the green on 2012 Ninja is different from 2011 ninja , i have read some were that 2012 is metallic green and looks very good.
By the way how is the exhaust note of Ninja 650 after 6000 rpm.

Ninja 650 is more practical option here in india , Daytona would be too stiff for our roads ( even my duke feels too stiff on some roads) but still I am waiting for daytona .

Ninja 650 & Daytona 675 are 2 different category of bikes. N650 is a sports tourer with upright riding ergo whereas Daytona is Supersport motorcycle.

Maintenance wise Ninja650 would be much cheaper than maintaining Daytona. Cost of all Triumph bikes are getting revised so you can expect approx. 10-15% hike in cost (My assumption) to what was quoted during Auto Expo and the bike will not be coming anytime soon. Last update from Triumph said their bikes will be available by first quarter of 2013. Only time will tell if this is going to happen.

Regarding Ninja's green color, Yes it is Metallic green in color earlier models used to be lime green in color. Exhaust note - only owners would be able to confirm how they are feeling. I am not sure if any owner would have gone past 6K now as they must be in running phase

BTW - What is running period advised for N650?

Sachin as far as i know it should be 1600 Km not sure if there is any change in that.

Also first weekend for the new owners I hope some rides are being planned, and awaited feedback and pics.

Bangalore to be owners holding their breath as the previously mentioned lucky draw at PBK tomorrow morning between 9-10, anyone going? Let us know how it goes.
