Do mention the source of these pics.

I think the most important bit here is that they're trying something niche.. After a VERY VERY LONG TIME.. Based on the styling, the adventure motorcycle seems to represent Honda's CROSS-TOURER.. (Remember the VFR based 800cc model they recently launched in Europe..??) it could be sold as the Cross-Tourer 500..

If true..... if launching in India.. If priced above 7 lakhs .. If priced below 4-4.5 lakhs.. roll over get drunk and pass out!!

BTW: Looks like they are shooting a TV commercial/spot. The camera in one of the pic looks like a RED CAM!

                Cheers,

Looks like there are 3 bikes...One is def a CBR 500R, the other one must be a naked version of CBR500R & the other one Cross Runner/Tourer....

They could be parellel twin cylinders....Guessing from the pics as one bike has twin exhausts from the head (Cross Tourer).....

If they decide to produce in India/Thailand and export it to the rest of the world like CBR 250R, then they can heavily localise the parts & will be definetly a killer price (Around 2 lakhs atleast for Naked one)..I am being Optimistic abt the price...

If they decide to produce in Thailand and bring it to India in CKD (Just like how Kawasaki Does) then the price is going to really steep.....

Bring it on Honda to India.....I am loving it......Atleast i will buy the Naked version of CBR 500R...

Twin cylinder, 500cc, Honda at 2lakh will never happen. The lowest it can be will be around 3-3.25lakh for naked and 4lakh for CBR500

If Honda brings this to India, letz see the pricing... This will decide whether it pips the competition or not......My instinct says that it will be priced around 2 - 2.5 lakhs OTR @ the Maximum..... I may be wrong too....

A Twin Cylinder from Honda, definitely looks exciting. But will it make into India? Even if it does I doubt if Honda has plans to make it in India. And if it is not made in India, and exported in CKD form and assembled in India, then pricing won't be less than the Ninja 250R currently sold in India.

And the presence of the single cylinder CBR250R means that a price tag of at least Rs. 3.50 lakhs for these twin cylinder models.

2-2.5 L for a newly engineered parallel twin with 45+HP is asking too much from Honda I think.
If priced properly This will help to tap a big market and many will not go for N650!. If price can justify that -25HP.

I am way too happy how the 200-300cc segment is getting outdated

Actually we need all types of motorcycles in same segment, simple a naked duke will not give much options in the market. This will help to develop different breads of bikers in the country.
Now what is available with Yamaha?

Shoots!!! 500cc segment compared to 250cc segment from the price point tag & saying it will be expensive than 250cc!!! And that is in addition to a 500cc locally assembled vs CKD 250cc.

Phew!!! Didn't expect this kind of statement from you
