    Loved the new eyes on the cbr 600rr,but the rear of the bike and the side profile are just an degrade from the outgoing model but what can we say its the legendary cbr 600rr. Would be amazed if the cb500f makes to indian shore within 2.5L to 3L range. Would definately want one if its the right moment. On the other hand the cb500x makes a lot sense and would be a fun bike to do touring and as well as city riding. The cbr500r is the most boring bike i must have seen in a lot of time other than the honda badging and the eyes

      Here is the video with cbr500r engine sound, in the second half of the video:

      Sounds really refined for a parallel twin engine!

        Kitne mandir mein or kitne nariyal phodne padenge (How many different temples and how many coconuts do I have to burst) for Honda to get the CB500X here to India.

        *officially hate the dhoom machale bike lovers now* (because of whom the X might never come)

          Very true.

          But then even the CB500F looks good for an India launch.

            CBR500R = 4950GBP
            CB500X = 4950GBP

            It should cost starting at sub-4lakh for the naked bike...if Honda decides to launches these in India...
            CB500X - the more I look at it the more I'm falling love with it. But why is that it's priced similar to CBR500R ?, I thought 500X's price would be lesser.

                  Assuming the language is Thai, and the prices are in Baht. On conversation its about 3.6lakhs INR for the 500R. This will be the price if its manufactured in India like the CBR 250R.
                  Just for comparision sake the CBR 250R ABS retails at 115,000 Baht in THailand which is roughly about 2lakhs INR which is the same as the Indian price for the 250R
                  Prices mentioned are all ONroad

                    Other than the engine everything else can be manufactured locally. So a price of 4-4.2lakh can be expected for CBR500R which was my guess few pages back

                      But will an underpowered 500cc parallel twin at 4L make sense when a 650 Could be had for just a little bit more? Or a 390 with similar performance could be had for almost half the price?

                        I doubt for the similar performance thing here.
                        The Honda may top out at ~200 kmph but the Duke is not reaching more than 160-70 kmph for sure. Its a naked for god's sake. Hence, performance takes a beating. But yeah, how many of us have seen 140 kmph for the sake of it? Where are the roads for 200? But Honda is ahead on this part.

                        Also, Honda shall have a more relaxed motor. Bliss for tourers.
                        Now, D390 is also a city bike like D200 which sells at 1.4L. (may increase with ABS version)
                        CBR500R/F/X is/are more of tourers ala the CBR250R which is priced at 2L OTR (ABS version)
                        By this logic, if the Honda is 4L, the Duke should be close to 2.8-3L OTR. Now that's not even close to half the Honda's price! Anyways that was just an estimate. No grudges.

                        People are buying both as per their needs right? They'll buy Hondas and Dukes in future too. Even the >500cc ones.

                          You are right about the fact that the D390 won't hit 170's as its a naked, but the prices you have estimated are wrong. The ABS version of the D200 will come around 1.6~1.7 L. The D390 is expected around 2L ex-showroom and for the ABS version around 2~2.2L but not more than that as an introductory price. Maybe then after few months or so they will hike it to 2.8~3L but they aren't gonna set that as introductory price. So it will still be more or less in and around the half the price of CBR500.

                            Even D200 had an introductory price of 1.17L. But many would wait for the 1st batch to pass so that niggles (if any) are sorted out. By that time, introductory prices would have given way to new hiked prices. Am I wrong here?
                            (Moreover, I quoted OTR prices in my post)

                              If at all there is going to be a hike, it will be around 20~25k at max. Its still going to be a lot cheaper than the 500R. Btw, how sure are you that the 500 is coming to India next year? When I checked in with one of the dealers, they said they have no idea, whereas for the 390 we have confirmation from their website.
