      Firstly, they are not V-Twins.

Secondly, the Hyosung 650s return 18-22kmpl.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      • I would be more happy if they get the Cbr600F or the newRR for that matter instead of these "sports" bikes

The 600F will then compete with the N650 and the hyosung 650 in terms of pricing, and the RR will almost cost around the 8-10 lakh area.
Neither options will benefit the company at this moment because the first option does not have a vast market yet(that said i would love to grab a 600F), and the second one will never be homologated for Indian conditions. Frankly speaking i dont see the 600 supersports be it R6, 600RR or the GSX-R600s operating in the Indian market. Not atleast for the next 3-5 years atleast.
            Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Just a curious question. Are you aware why R1, GSXR 1000, Fireblade or the big tourers like hayabusa get through homologation but the 600cc supersports can't? It makes no logical sense to me. I Really REALLY want a cbr600rr.
              Bajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005
              Honda Dio : 2005-2012
              KTM 200 Duke : 2012-
              Aprilia RSV4 APRC ABS : 2014-

              • Anyone knows when the 500 R will be launched if its coming to India? Will it be in 2013 or 2014?

Im going to take a wild guess here but i think it is the manufacturers themselves that do not take the initiative. Because, worldwide the 600 supersports are costing about 75-80% of their 1000cc siblings.
                  For eg:
2013 YZF R6 is retailing at $11,000 USD while the 2013 YZF R1 is retailing at $14,300 USD.
2012 CBR 600RR is retailing at $11,500 USD while the 2012 CBR 1000RR is at $14,000 USD
It isnt going to work in India either since you can buy an R1 for 16(?) lakhs OTR but can you imagine yourself buying an R6 for say 12-13 lakhs OTR?
And then the 600 SS sales arent steady either which is why companies do not change the product or put their money into developing a 600 SS from scratch and instead prefer making minor modifications to the existing products and releasing them every 2-3 years.

100 cc less for 1-2 kmpl more mileage as petrol prices are increasing worldwide...

                        • I like CB500X much. I can say it will give us feel of 500cc Multistrada.

I think it has more to do with manufacturers themselves too. As for upgrade cycles. 1000cc and 600cc bikes both follow a similar upgrade cycle. Yearly cosmetic refresh with a few major changes every 3 years or so.

I would totally buy a CBR600RR for 12L over a fireblade for 16L. It's lighter, MUCH more fun to ride and it won't actively try to kill me :|

Edit : Actually, i'd like to buy a 600cc for 6L over a 1000cc for 8L, the doubling up of prices in India makes the decision harder.
