@Bangalore Guys
I saw and heard the KTM 390 today @ Probiking Indiranagar and guys its quite loud both in looks & sound.

The first lots will have only white KTMs which actually looks quite good with the orange wheels & orange frame.
Front profile is exactly as Duke 200 except the hand-grip protectors. Hand grip protectors are de-facto in the bike ,ABS can be switched-off easily,test drives start by next Friday.

And Finally I booked it too

I didnt go. [MENTION=42045]JayD[/MENTION] was supposed to be there. Haven't heard from him ever since. Or anyone else for that matter. May be they're all awestruck

Hi Guys, Booked one yesterday at KTM Banjara Hills. Display bike would be coming by Monday as per the dealer. Deliveries start in week or two once AP Transport approves it. Dealer is planning to deliver the first lot to everyone on the same day with a press meet.

Pics from yesterday's showroom launch Navi Mumbai. Excellent bike, looks just as expected. Exhaust note sounds more prominent.

Hand-guards are standard, not sure if they can be dismantled. Looked very sturdy.

Some fugly wires and exposed connectors on the left hand side. Closer look in the third pic. Might be an issue in wet.

Met [MENTION=42045]JayD[/MENTION] as well who was booking his bike as I was leaving. Always nice to bump into a fellow xbhpian. The display bike had a temp registration already so I'm guessing test rides should start soon.

Did the unexpected yesterday. I had been to Brigade road to do some shopping and while coming back saw this KTM outlet on Richmond Road, being curious just went in for a peek, and boy that peak costed me 30k. why because, I booked the 390! This impulse is a bit too much even for me to understand since I had not made up mind on buying this but I booked it on the guarantee that the cancellation charges are zero. And not to miss the launch, went for the official release at indiranagar in the evening. It was a nice event they even served snacks and beverages for all present and it was quite a crowd there, roughly about 100 people must have turned up, some even with families.
Saw the 390 in flesh and it does look good and it was in orange wheels. The guys were all wide eyed with wonder and clocking away like it was a beauty pageant. The staff were very courteous and answered all questions. The bike sounds great, not the bassy type but a deep throated growl sound. The seating feels right but did feel that there is not much space for movement if you want to change positions on long ride as the pillion seat comes up like an obstruction if you move too much back. The foot peg is at the position of crouch not relaxed, it may be good for racing but might give knee pains on tours. And there is no center stand, only side stand which is something I find lacking. They say that orange alloys can be changed to black on request since it shares the same size wheels as 200 which come in black, but it does look good though catchy in orange.

man, sounds more juicer than the D200

waiting to get a job of my own.. this would be the first thing i want to buy with my own money

but that might take a little longer..

If you go through the duke 200 thread with a bit of diligence you'll realize that it has 99% of the info on the bike. The rev limiter question is very common and frankly its plain frustrating to see it crop up every other page! I understand new users would invariably ask questions here which are very trivial but a little bit of searching around doesnt hurt, does it ?
Also did you notice that my reply did not quote your post ? I deliberately avoided that to be overtly offending, and frankly it was not meant for you at all, but I think some people have very big egos.

U seemed like a really nice person until I read your last sentence.

Another thing one cannot fail to notice- The chassis and suspension are an absolute beauty to see and experience. They said that the center of gravity is so closely setup that it is located right beneath riders ass- meaning fantastic control.
