Re: KTM RC 390 Launch confirmed: xBhp News
they must already be having at least one or two small factories in europe for specialised manufacturing (where they probably manufacture the moto3 KTMs, RC8 1190s, their rally and MX championship bikes, superdukes etc).. it's possible they are building the adac cup RCs in those factories of their own...duke 125 being a popular road bike thus of course requires mass production and hence bajaj given the responsibility of doing that.Originally posted by nirvaana View Post

Re: KTM RC 390 Launch confirmed: xBhp News
IMO its still Bajaj making them. Dont think KTM will setup facilities just to cater to those limited number of racing bikes. Also if Bajaj made Duke125 is well accepted in Europian countries then probably they can also make the RC390 with so called "improved standards" too.
And yes, wish all RC390 are built to the expectations.

Re: KTM RC 390 Launch confirmed: xBhp News
yeah i know that mate but i highly doubt bajaj is supplying those full-on race spec RC390s to the adac cup in germany...i dont think KTM relies on bajaj to that extent when it comes to supplying actual race bikes in europe...but nonetheless it seems it's not known for sure whether that is indeed the case or somehow it's still bajaj making them and KTM later on doing the race prepping and other fine and subtle tweaks and refinements.Originally posted by ags1773 View PostThat's the whole point of the bajaj - ktm partnership. Bajaj would mass produce dukes and RCs in India and KTM would provide the technical expertise.

Looks like the official site is up
KTM RC
It has some contests to win the RCs. A 360 view is also available.
PS Track ride impressions of ADAC RC390s in European languages,
In the Czech link, it is surprising to see that he has mentioned the Metzeler tyres as one of the negatives.
The NL link says that the top speed was about 180km/h if I'm not wrong. So the production version with 6HP more(but with 9kg extra weight) will hit at least 170 I guess.Last edited by pcgamer; 06-21-2014, 03:50 PM.

it's a relatively upsetting thought that at least the indian market's RC390s will be made by bajaj and not KTM themselves..

.
exactly what i was wondering. it seems like KTM (and not Bajaj) have been making the RC390s that are being raced in germany.

Re: KTM RC 390 Launch confirmed: xBhp News
i just read it somewhere the r25 true top is around 165 with speedo showing around 178, and the 390 speedo is known to be more accurate where a speedo indicated 178 showed an actual 173. so i am safely assuming a true top whack of 180. lets see.Originally posted by berudulom View PostPeople are speculating that the R25 can do speed over 180kmph with 250cc, 35 bhp and 165kgs. So why can't the RC 390 do 170kmph atleast with 375cc, 43 bhp and 150 kgs. Does it have anything to do with the number of cylinders?

Hopefully with slightly higher cost they are going for quality components.

Can you please take a screenshot and post it if possible (as it looks like you're on an iPad)? The text is not visible in the current pics. I looked for the mag on play store. It seems it's available only for tablets and not available in India.Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View Post--IMG--
Regarding the RC, that's the best a sportbike fan on a budget can hear ATM IMO

Yeah the engine is same but all those articles on the net have been speculating near 180 top speed. You know how hope is a b***h, right?Originally posted by sparky View PostI really doubt if it can do 170 even on the gauge, agreed it has fairing but the engine is the same and it now has more weight and probably peaks out at 14k rpm (?)

not able to see in that detail, as it crossed me in opposite lane, all i could see was that it didn't had DRL's. meaning those DRls were switched off.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostSo, were you able to see the indicators? Seems like the Indian version is not getting integrated indicators.
