It's the RC200. Look at those MRF REVZ tyres. The 390 has metzelersOriginally posted by amarme001 View Post

The seat does look small, but it may be bcoz of the angle the photo was taken, however the handle bar grips looks awful, like a splendor, I wonder if it is rc 390 or rc200 coz duke 390 has bar end weights, If I m not confused.

Buddy the tank just looks bigger. It is actually 0.5 liter less than the duke 390Originally posted by ags1773 View PostI liked the tank and the tail section. The tank looks much larger than the d390. The trellis frame looks sweet. I couldn't get a good look at the front of the bike, so can't comment on the headlight cluster, the DRLs and the RVM mounted front indicators (?). However, the rear tyre hugger was an eyesore.

Yep.. Seen them. FYI they were clicked in Nigdi, Pune just a stones throw from where I used to live. I had even seen the rc390 on the road, but couldn't take pics as my phone had died

Ceteris paribus, Yes. But the racing pieces would be much more performance tuned than the production version! (exhaust, weight (no lights), engine tuning etc) , the racing bikes have to last only a few races before the engine is rebuilt!. So at best I would imagine it should match the top speed these racing versions are putting up.

the ADAC junior cup has started n the bikes r hittin 180 with around 39 bhp. so can we expct a slightly better top speed wid 44 bhp?

Re: KTM RC 390 Launch confirmed: xBhp News
Right. Not integrating mirrors can be a positive thing too as the chances of the indicators on the mirrors getting damaged due to the 'rats' trying to get into every single hole in the traffic is very high in the bigger citiesOriginally posted by kochumvk View PostIn the city I am living, both RVMs and indicators are generally not used. RVMs are replaced with a pair of sharp metal thing. indicators are left as is, but they never use it.
So may be this time its a double advantage for the morons!
Good thing is if they are selling it cheap , we can have cheaper replacements after a fall!
I am learning to think positively

Good points there and thanks for giving a feedback based on track riding.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostI would like to share my humble thoughts on the topic...
I took a test ride of the Duke 390 because i am considering the RC 390 which has the same engine (tuned differently - not sure how much of difference that will make).
My biggest disappointment was the engine. It didn't make sense to me. It can't be ridden in the low end at all, very vibey in certain places in the rev range, awful exhaust note (ok for a dirt bike perhaps), power band felt strong and linear once into the mid range and past it...i don't know...in the engine department for track/sport riding the Ninja 300 is miles ahead. Everything else is great: fresh styling, lightweight, fantastic tires.Last edited by incipient; 04-22-2014, 09:43 PM.
