I am finding CS more appealing then SS in overall design be it the speedo/ Inverted Forks/ Exhaust

I think CS will be costlier then SS just a thought.

I also noticed the Speedo on SS is same as NS weird

Bajaj would really need to work hard to overcome the charm of it.

The SS400 looks cool. But that aggressive design would have suited more for a supersport than for this sport tourer.
Also, it looks like it's built to low cost indicated by those 200NS console, telescopic forks.

"Bajaj is also working on the third product which is the off-road platform. But Stefan Pierer said that it is actually going to be the same engine but on a new platform with new geometry therefore its almost like a new motorcycle and will take time. Maybe end next year. Further it is going to be two motorcycles, one a hardcore off-roader (spanning the 200 and the 390) as well as a larger tanked adventure tourer."

Do we really go to track....In India, our need is for daily purpose bike...which can be driven anywhere not on track.

Regarding USD Forks, Indian Market is a price centric market...so these little things can lower down the price of the bike upto a great extent

Don't generalize, please. There are a ton of people who go to the track (myself included). There was a KTM 390 exclusive trackday that happened at Chennai on 1-2 Feb and over 100 people showed up (and that's not even a bike that's fit for the track, dynamic-wise). Yes, India is a price centric market, but the percentage penalty of USD forks for bikes that cost well over 1.5L is not that big. Anyone who can shell out 1.7L for a bike, will be able to shell out 1.8L as well. Jumping from 60k to 70k makes a sizable difference, so your logic is perfectly valid for cheaper bikes but I don't think Bajaj skipped them for cost reasons. They did include ABS, for example and that costs money as well.

First of all I am not generalizing it at all. But tell me how many of us visit a track to test our bike. Those 100 of guys are from those million of riders who buys a bike and for those MILLIONS of people Companies make vehicle, not for those TON of chaps who visit track.

Second thing tell me except in Southern India, and Buddh Circuit in Noida, how many Circuits do we have in India.

Third thing, you were saying about USD forks doesn't make much difference. then why most of the bike manufacturers (Upper Segment), doesn't offer that option to us. Including Fi for an example here.

Idk, even though I'm a Bajaj fanboy I'm not entirely happy with the end result of 400 SS. CS400 seems to have a perfect design and very promising concept. Amazing attention to detail from Bajaj. 400SS also looks killer but abit too bulky and overdone here and there. But could be all those extra cuts and edges in the fairing really improve the overall ride. Another disappointment is that 200SS is nowhere to be seen in this Expo. Where is affordable replacement for the all time hit, but outdated P220.

Man, there aren't millions of people buying high end bikes. People who buy splendors, discovers and bullets are not planning to take them to the track. But a 400cc "performance bike" will mostly attract a crowd that wants to hit the track. That is the reason why I think Bajaj should have thought about that group as well.

None at all. We don't have enough tracks. It's an objective fact, no one is debating that.

USD forks and standard forks have different purposes. I think you need to understand the objectives and purposes of both of them. USDs generally tend to be beefier (hence, more expensive),stiffer and provide better control. The decision of telescopic vs USD is NOT purely a matter of cost, like you make it sound. If you just want a plush ride, standard forks will cater to that requirement, no sweat. But if you want a firm, sporty ride, you want USD forks.

FI vs carb on the other hand is a bad analogy. It is purely a matter of cost. More precise, electronically controlled fuel delivery is better than less precise, uncontrolled spray of fuel in every way.

That console of 400CS doesn't display gear and speed!
There's second console mounted on petrol tank which does that.
