I'm afraid we're going off topic guys.
Any updates on the SS? We aren't getting any spy pics these days. So I assume that they have finished testing and it's ready to be launched during the auto expo .

We can be optimistic about the expo launch of the 200SS. I had been to a bajaj dealer conference (behind closed doors) and that is what they said.

I don't think so that R15 was a success just because it had fairing. Actually R15 was a success due to
          1. It's Liquid cool features / 6th gear 2. Dual Disc brakes 3. Handling 4. Braking 5. Fairing. 6. Most important in reach of people of india, less than Ninja 3L.

I din't see Yamaha R15 as a success over sales. Because even after R15 still P220 was selling more. After CBR 150/250 today R15 has lost those shares as well.

Still R15 looks the best in models but it has aback with V2 version.

Is it me or others as well , I still still countable R15's on road compare to P220 or NS200 currently.....

NS200 is missing the edge over R15 only due to missing of 1. Good Handling compare to R15, 2. FI and 3. Fairing. 4 Even the past image of bajaj's product and durability & reliability for long term use.

Fairing can be just for hand full of people.

Totally disagree with the bold part. R15 handling is way lower than the NS. On riding them both for quite some distance, i found the NS easier to handle and that was also the reason why few of my friends chose NS or karizma over R15. The posture just would not let us handle it that easily.
And fairing does matter specially in a market like India where most of the r15 owners are students who often keep looks as their first priority.

Still R15 looks the best in models but it has aback with V2 version. To summarise this, the majority of people liking the R15 is not it's handling, not it's performance, not disc brakes or anything, the thing is fairing and superbike kinda look. . . Yes that's right, I know many noobs who have got R15 just for this only reason, the bike has great looks and chicks love it, simple. . . According to me, it is for the bike's Handling, performance and affordability for those who wish for something bigger just like you say a Ninja. . .

NS200 is missing the edge over R15 only due to missing of 1. Good Handling compare to R15, Nope you are wrong, NS is a bit better than R15 here, may be to what they say 50:50 weight distribution, . . 2. FI It may be one but even without fi, it still manages to perform well and doesn't give any problems. . .and 3. Fairing. That goes to the liking of the person who is buying, some like fairing while others like it naked, personally I do love faired bikes but this NS caught my eyes. . . 4 Even the past image of bajaj's product and durability & reliability for long term use. Yes there are little problems faced here and there but compared to their previous generation pulsars, this is way way way better and there are many here who still ride it in stock who brought it at the beginning and that's the reason I am now looking for NS, started saving from this month, will take a little more time though . . .

Fairing can be just for hand full of people.

you got it completely wrong bro..
p220 sells/sold more then r15 because it costs half of the latter , and atleast 80% of the r15 owners(no offence to enthusiast) have no idea about fi, liquid cooling, handling etc..
they just buy it because of the fairing, later when they install projectors they can fool the fellow posers it for a R1 ...when they can get the same wow effect for 1.40lk why would they spend more for cbr or ninja...and also most of the r15 guys ride with no lit that itll show their purpose ....

I'm excited! Say hello to the fully faired new generation Pulsar set to be unveiled at AutoExpo 2014 probably with the name 200SS. Brand Pulsar has a loyal band of followers who are very fond of the brand and understand the finer nuances of the Pulsar that are often lost on other motorcycle enthusiasts. This design study of the fully faired Pulsar 200SS comes from one such fan.

Question from Shumi still stands. Will the 200SS be available with fuel injection as well as ABS? Or do we have to be satisfied with just one or the other?

That article is bullcrap, lemme quote the writer,

The 35W halogen lamp on the 200NS was a sore point for us and this new setup, with the promise of 55W lamps sounds just about perfect.
Well, that sentence alone sums up their credibility, they just made a 3D model and published it to get hits from people looking for info about the new 200CC faired Pulsar.
                        I am back!

Yikes, honest mistake. 35W was stuck in my head for no reason. Corrected.

Completely agree with you otherwise. It is a 3D model, I thought that was self explanatory. Have your looked at the swollen tyre sidewalls and missing rear brake calipers?

Oh, don't agree on the bullcrap part of it though. I'd rather say, well restrained speculation, having myself read what passes for 'information' elsewhere.

Do read my Pulsar 200NS review and tell me I'd stoop so low to write a thousand words of bullshit.

PS: Moooaaaar hits yeah! More! Who doesn't want them?

Sorry mate I don't agree to this. I myself being a R15 rider for 3.5 yrs with 35K kms and riding my friends NS200 as well makes me comment that NS is not upto R15 handling.
NS has striaght posture which makes it feel a great handler but when it comes to handling and stability at higher speeds R15 is awesome.
And one has to change the rear tyre of NS200 to get good handling!

My opinion might be opposite to you but this is what I feel and exp. Racing posture helps in better control for higher speed.

NS200 has power and rest all apart from FI and Fairing. If I had choice to go for a better power machine in 2010 I would have gone for NS200 in 1L. and later today after almost 4 yrs I would have saved money for Ninja...
Today If any one ask me a bike with overall everything then I will suggest NS200 only, unless untill the owner is dead sure for fairing alone and fake blah blah stuff!!

Yes True to some extend!! But not all R15 owners, only 30% people I would say!

Some where still in India people buy bike over average and cost, Looks are secondary here in India.

If before I buy Ninja 300 if P375 gets launched then I will surely go for that !! for me brand is not important, but the best in a price matters saving 2L straight.

That line itself sums up why you feel the r15 handles better. Cause you are used to it. I however neither own the r15 nor the 200NS. But when i rode them both on the same road for a considerable distance i found the r15 handling way lower. My opinion was a neutral one cause i do not own any of the two bikes. Your opinion would obviously be biased towards r15 as you have been used to it. We are going way OT
