Guys, I just booked the 200SS. Talked to the showroom manager. It seems like even he's not sure about things (or is he pretending?). He said the launch will be in Feb and the bike is expected to reach the showroom by March.

He he no guys, I'm not mad. I just booked a bike even before the company has launched it! Which basically means, I just made sure that I'll be the first person to get the bike from this dealer when the company launches it.

On what guarantee you booked it. . ? I mean are they sure enough to say that the bike will come in two months' time. . ? Also how much you paid as a booking amount. . ?

Though they haven't launched it yet, the dealer seems to be sure enough. Otherwise they wouldn't contact me and ask me to book it. I just filled the booking form and gave them Rs.500 and they gave me the invoice. I insisted that I want to talk to the MD. He's the one who told me that bike will be launched in Delhi in February. But he doesn't know about the auto expo! So he must have got some inside info and probably is not guessing. Surprisingly, he's unaware of the 180NS.

Did you just say THIS MONTH?

..today is the last day of this month.That means P200ss is going to be released today itself?!

The definitely makes sense, modding an already good working bike is called stupidity IMO. . . When the present carb is working well and good, why do they need to put an fi to it. . ? Leave this, doesn't the fi bring it close to D200's pricing. . ? May be a threat for D200, again stupidity to do it. . . I think the present NS is working well and good but taking it away and replacing it with fi, is simply another waste of time. . . People are simply asking for fi and when they get it, they start complaining about ABS and when they get that, they start complaining about pricing. . . The present NS is the best VFM product and it's perfectly fine, so I don't think these kind of changes are necessary, they must concentrate on launching other models to improve their sales rather than confusing the customers with so many variants of one model (EX: Discover series). . .

eve I used to thing the same but having fi is a peace of mind actually , no need of carb cleaning and for some bikes fetching the diaphgram is a issue ,no need to break our head with the tuning
ya thought its a easy task but i prefer it be comtrolled by the computer as they are more accurate then us

, no need to worry about the cold start issue though till now i havent faced any problem with cold start but not the same for others.

Yup I do want the same, in fact everyone wants everything to be served perfectly but don't you think, it's way better to remove and tune our bikes, get dirty on it is way more fun than asking someone else to make it. . ? Saying this from a Biker point of view. . .

hmm still prefer fi

.yes itll affect the sales with respect to layman buyer. but i thing i read some where that for the next emission norms fi is required hence bajaj are preparing for that i believe

Well, NS is already over a lakh here. I think even with FI the price will not be increased dramatically, D200 is about to get ABS here too I heard.

Don't think so. The price difference between the D200 and D390 is not that much. If they put ABS on the D200, its cost would increase by some 20-25k and that means, it would be much closer to D390 price.
