Yes sure it is , hope it's more of a sports biased like the CBR150R rather than a completely tourer kind like CB250R which would make me disappointed and return back to something else or at least NS. . .

        Cheers!!!

Are you talking about the specs or the riding posture? I'm not a great fan of the sporty riding posture . Worried about backpain.

Hope they will not call it pulsar xxx ss

Pulsar xxx fs is ok to accept.

Something like pulsar xxx R looks more professional.

At some point of time they will be laughed at when even the last fool in this country acknowledges that supersport. Is not equal to fairing

Ya. And I'm thinking like, why not get rid of the 'Pulsar' prefix itself? That would definitely help to differentiate these faired bikes from the other Pulsars.

I don't worry about the spec sheet, I am more interested in the handling department, mostly it should be a good handler and yeah am speaking about the riding posture, to be a bit sporty and help to lean around corners , now don't say am I Rossi that I want to lean in every corner but still there are places here to test our skills , so I would like a decent bike with good handling and easily cruising at 100kph without stress, hope Bajaj brings them in this SS. . . According to what I think, the handling might be close or better to NS's handling, hope it's so. . . Arrrgh am thinking too much now , chilled. . .

I will be a bit worried if the SS comes with a sporty riding position. Btw, how long can somebody ride a bike leaning forwards (as in a sports bike)? I have this doubt because I'll be riding mainly in the city for at least two hours a day. I like an upright position more but I haven't ridden a sports bike for long periods. So I'm not so sure whether I'll be comfortable with it or not.

At Indian traffic conditions, an hour of riding would start to cause pain. My friend has an R15 and he complains about backpain. I already have a messed up back and can't even stay 15 minutes on the R15. So, choose judiciously, anyway I get a feeling that these new Pulsars (especially the 373/375 cc one) are more of a weekend ride bike than commuters.
                    I am back!

It won't be that much of a committed riding posture mate, just an almost upright posture with some lean I guess for that sports bike feel. . . I do travel a lot daily, my daily commute can vary anything between 25kms and almost 50-60kms, just taking in city and it won't be that much of a pain IMO, even if you get may be for first week or so, after that nothing's gonna bother you. . .

PS: The one quoted for your comment above is bluffing. . .

To answer this question of riding posture, it actually depends upon ones fitness level. I've been riding in sports posture for around 6 years and did not have any issues while riding from Delhi to Chandigarh for over 3 and a half hours. While there are some who can't even do it for 30 min. There is nothing right or wrong about this, it's just that to enjoy sports bike riding, one has to improve his fitness level upto a certain mark, not which everyone understands and considers.
That's the reason why racers work out a lot cos they have to be at their peak to take the bike around the track in the fastest time. It's not every other riders task to be able to do so.
To conclude, it's a personal choice. If someone is not willing to increase their level of fitness for a sports bike, it's better not to buy one cos it won't be worth it and choose a bike which has a relaxed position where the body won't take a toll
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Thanks guys. I'm not a fitness freak but I'm willing to improve my fitness levels. But in case that doesn't help me ride a Pulsar SS, I can always opt for aftermarket fitments right? I remember seeing a company called helibars or something that offers aftermarket handlebars for high-end sports bikes. Such products are available here too? Another reason for worry is, with a girl/lady pillion, it wouldn't look or feel good unless she too leans forward . Hope the riding position wont be too sporty on the SS.
Edit:Maybe we can continue here later on as the discussion is a bit off topic. I do wish to know more about aftermarket handlebars.

Its always risky modifying stock design. Your posture would have been set keeping in mind the positioning of your legs on the foot pegs. Modified handle bars may make you sit upright but keeping your leg position in mind, your modified posture won't be the that suitable. Think about it.

I'm talking about aftermarket fitments made with a particular bike in mind. A slightly raised handlebar wont do any harm I guess. Anyways, if pictures are to be believed, the 200SS will have an upright to somewhat upright riding position unlike the Pulsar 375.

I completely agree with you. All these companies making parts for specific international bikes do keep all aspects in mind. So I don't think you should have any trouble getting an upright position for these it any bikes
