I'm talking about aftermarket fitments made with a particular bike in mind. A slightly raised handlebar wont do any harm I guess. Anyways, if pictures are to be believed, the 200SS will have an upright to somewhat upright riding position unlike the Pulsar 375.
Changing handlebars do play a role and will vary the bike's stock status with different. . . For example, I switched from my stock unicorn handlebar with that of short shogun handlebar to get the better handling. . . According to what you say, may be a handlebar riser will do the trick (if it fits) rather than a whole set of new handlebar. . . Other than that, changing handlebar doesn't interfere with any other thing, it's just that you want something sporty or comfortable, all for your requirements. . . And yeah looking at the pics, it's more like an upright :'( rather than kinda committed posture, whatever it is, handling should be good, that's all am wishing for. . .

    PS: 1000th post made . . .

    Cheers!!!

First of all, congrats on the 1000th post. Senior huh?

The idea of a handlebar riser is indeed very interesting. Didn't know about it. Thanks. But is it available for clip-on handlebars? I didn't see one. If yes, that might be the only option since I don't think there's any company that makes model specific handlebars for Indian bikes. I don't like the idea of using some other bike's handlebar as it would be an eyesore and that original feel will be lost.

And like you said, the riding position looks fairly upright. You'll have to do some modification to lower it.

Tq, I have heard about these raisers for normal handlebars, hope they too do something for clip-ons as well, will check it out once I visit a spare shop. . . Other than that, saw a pic in some other thread yesterday, you too had commented there, testing the SS with a pillion, that looks kinds sporty riding, here's the pic,

looks sporty in this but still needs the handlebar to be lowered. . . Errrr amm too confused now :Retard: . . .

Again, the only way to know it, let it hit the showrooms, so that we get a test ride to decide about whether it's comfortable or pain. . .

PS: Errrrr dreaming about it . . .

Don't worry. Knowing Bajaj, the handlebar position will probably be sporty enough for someone like you but at the same time high enough for someone like me . Like most of their bikes, there will be something in it for everyone.

Eagerly waiting for it. Called the dealer today and they still haven't received any notification from Bajaj.

You can vouch that, they do something for all . . .

Dealers are the last persons to know, even after the showcase or launch of their bike or if the bike has come to their showroom newly, they'll know nothing about it. . . Err wait why go till there, go and ask someone to explain you about a specified bike and I guarantee, you'll return scratching your head as to WTH did I just ask . . . The last time I went to the dealer and asked them about the 200SS and they are like, what 200ss sir. . ? There's no bike like that and after I showed them a pic, they are like ohhh which bike is this. . ? So, it's better you stick here (Xbhp) or other well known sites as dealers have little knowledge about these stuffs. . . Even they won't know if a new colour scheme has been provided to their bike unless it hits the showroom. . .

            Pweeeh that's a much of writing about these dealers . . .

            Cheers!!!

Can't agree more. Dealers are businessmen and not bike fanatics. No reason for them to be updated with biking news unless the company is periodically updating them

Yellow lines a guide lines to show both pics are almost at same grid. For comparing the handlebar height I took bar ends as reference point. Clearly 200SS is lower compared to CBR :-)

I don't think that's a correct way. Look at the seat level of the pulsar and that of the cbr. Seat level of cbr is a bit high. Higher the seat, more the rider bends. But in pulsar, the rider's seat is lower than that in the cbr's. Draw a reference line there. I may be confused too. Another reference line would help a lot.

                  Really good effort!!

But you need to reduce the size of the CBR a bit. I don't know what the dimensions of the front wheel of CBR or Pulsar is, but taking the CBR wheel as a reference.....here is a comparison of the dimensions.....

That is not the correct way. Whatever you do to the pictures, one bike is laden and god knows if its accelerating or braking when the pic was taken on the other hand the cbr is unladen. These things make a huge difference.
                    Why 2wheels over 4.....

Thanks man. Actually even on reducing CBR pic size its coming higher. Wheel size should be 17" mostly. Even 18" won't make much difference.

I know man. Came early from office and had nothing to do. That's when fun started

Guys, but obvious this is approximate only. There can be many factors due to which the dimensions may change considering the 2 pics are taken separately. But still, might be closer to the actual dimension...

thanks for that comparison pic. the rear seat of Pulsar is lower than that of cbr because two ppl are sitting on it. similarly the handlebar is lower coz its laden.also the ground clearance of pulsar seems to be a bit less coz of underbelly exhaust.the front part of fairing of pulsar looks like as if it has come loose and is just hanging so low.

It may not be the perfect way but, with limited resources, you guys have come up with possibilities. Nice work.

Adding weight factor is not possible since we don't know the weight of the guys sitting on pulsar and the compression damping etc of the suspension

^^WoW, this does look to be a sports tourer for sure. I like the size though. Impressive compared to the Karizma.

Not to miss those snake eyes. I wish they brought in a sport bike pulsar, with aggressive riding position. Those light would have looked killer while corner scraping on that version.

Guys who need a sports bike may wait for the Pulsar 375 :P .
This thing definitely looks big. The Karizma in the pic is a fair distance behind the Pulsar though.
