design is looking good to me....its looks a bit quirky at first but I am sure it will settle down with time....it would have looked much better, more proportionate and killer if hero had chopped that fairing down by 4-5 inches from top but still its looking much better than current version.....

Dont know if Hero designs bikes or Boats/Ships..
With that much amount of plastic and not aerodynamic , zmr sailed like a Boat on the highway when a Volvo zoomed by .sigpic

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 unveiled at Macau: xBhp News
I wont consider it as a design disaster. But looks disproportionate at certain places. But the best thing is - They did something on their own, and its better than the Old... If I had to change something here, I would-
1. Make the Exhaust a littl more upswept to match the rear.
2. Put the indicators on side panel.
3. Use the current indicator slots as pilot lamps preferably LEDs(Considering it already has projector setup).
4. Rear tires of atleast 120 specs and front 90 spec.(Its really hampers the looks, as the rims seems to be the same 18" profile).
Now coming to power figure, Any thing in the range of P220 would do, without making it more pricier. As now that they dont have to pay royalty to Honda, I dont see price increase of more than 2-3Ks.
And hope, they launch completely new and powerful bikes(250 and <) next year.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 unveiled at Macau: xBhp News
Great thats a twin stacked ptojector set up copied straight from p220 but the huge indicator slots dampen the looks
If we rewind a bit some bike magazine after seeing the spyshots of the present zmr reported the twin holes (which house the horns) as ram air inlets (indicating a pressurised airbox to bump power) and reported an expected true speed around 140kmph sadly we were let down so lets not get our hopes high but still the large slots in the fairing is a welcome change and should keep the engine cool

May be it will be a dual headlight with in-build indicators .....Originally posted by black asp View PostGreat thats a twin stacked ptojector set up copied straight from p220 but the huge indicator slots dampen the looks

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 unveiled at Macau: xBhp News
That is not a twin headlight set up like r15 but a stacked projector set up like p220 look at the image closely u can make out two projectors one above the other and as for the indicators they are bound to go in the extra large slots in the sides. hero has an issue of misplaced identities
like placing horns in air intakes or in this case indicators the size of headlamps

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR 2013 unveiled at Macau: xBhp News
Din't expect any major redesign from Hero. Anyway this one looks better than the boat kind-off design of the old ZMR.
Why is it that only one news paper got this news?
Was this some kind of secret launch???

No doubt it looks ugly as almost every Hero bike these days. But, that huge fairing should be good for long rides. Will give adequate wind protection.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment
