these seem to be the final versions of the prototypes shown in spy pics some time ago.remember the ones with different section rear tires?
sorry for being blunt, but the naked zmr appears to be competing with its half faired arch rival in terms of looks which was unnecessary imo.
both of these look horrendously similar to those fun-ride for kids in your local fair.even the current zmr shows atleast a consistent design
philosophy but these appear like some hilarious mod-jobs at best.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

even the original passion launched sometime around 2003 looked good.same goes with cbz(motorcycling unplugged version) and karizma, long before sticker jobs came in vogue

Quite disappointed by the new ZMA and ZMR, like most others. Hero Moto Corp is a cash-rich company. We do expect them to invest in R&D/Tie-ups and give us bikes that are lighter, more powerful, have better handling and braking. Sadly, this doesn't seem to happening anytime soon.

As somebody said already, you need to look at the profile of ZMA/ZMR buyers. Most of them would be upgrading from smaller bikes, so they are happy with the overall package these two bikes offer. As a ZMR owner since many years, I can say that it has fantastic build quality, very reliable, low maintenance. That checks the boxes for most first time ZMA/ZMR buyers. Though spare parts availability is a downside.

The target audience of these new versions cannot be the folks who own the current versions, or, who own similar capacity/performance bikes of other manufacturers.
If a current ZMA/ZMR owner wants to move on to the next level of performance, there are quite a few options available in the market.

What's wrong with hero?? The new designs are horrible..
The ZMR's front is totally messed up.. and the tank, they should have replaced the skinny one atleast..

Again the new R.. it's even more disappointing..

Keeping in mind the fact that it took you so long to come up with this, now it'll take you even longer to come up with something more "refreshed"(as you call it)..
All I can say is.. RIP hero.. seems you've dug your own grave in performance biking .

looks like the designer of this thing tried to combine the good elements from pulsar 220,cbr250 and multistrada but ends up like a waaaaaaaaay confused design like something from the 70s japanese sci-fi movies, must have looked good on the CGI i think and someone forgot a clay modelling.the best i can think of this is good ergos and,and and maybe fuel economy and and and and aaaaaaaaaa ............stickers!!!!!!!!!!
if the thing is priced at current zmr prices ,it might work..
why is the karima r with its pants down?

The weirdness is mainly due to the angle of the photo. It's a raised seat with an outward tail, this angle can't do justice to the actual product... I guess it's best to wait for some high res, proper angle images to be a little fair to hero, before we conclude on the looks

Snehith, I am not passing any judgement here, but just reacting to the looks in this photo. I will happily change my views once I see it in flesh, if its really not weird.
