Mr. Samarth, who was there when I booked the bike said that bikes are ready, the problem is with getting permits etc. As soon as that's taken care of, the bikes will be delivered.
Also, they can't deliver the bike until the service center is ready, so that's another variable. The showroom is also not ready.
He said it could be as early as Jan 10 but I honestly don't believe that. The booking amount was ₹50k & I didn't negotiate on that.Leave a comment:

Hey Sunil, firstly thank you for posting this thread much awaited thread and following up... big blessing for Triumph fans like me. One thing I wanted to know was is it possible that the Daytona being 675cc supersports incurs more tax by the Indian govt than models with 800cc or more? Maybe thats the reason for its high pricing, because even without Triumph legally owning a 600cc supersports import can become costlier than owning a litre class.Originally posted by sunilg View Post

Official bookings will probably start on 7th Jan. Bikes can be expected to be delivered in a month's time.

Guys, bad but expected news.
It seems that Bangalore people won't get their bikes delivered till Feb beginning. No, the showroom hasn't opened yet but it's a confirmed news.
I thought I'll get my Striple delivered before 2014 starts.
