I wish daytona was around 8L. They have priced the rest of the lot quite reasonably. Now if only such ventures encouraged other biggies to bring in their middleweights into the fray. It would be a dream come true if there were R6s and ZX6rs launched here, but that still remains a lucid dream for many.

I hope you have done enough research on this, can you clarify on following:

How much will be the wind blast if the street triple is used for touring for long distances (1000 kms a day)? I have seen many FZ1s used for long distance touring in India. Ninja 650 is a better bet for tourer but, if the wind blast part is bearable, its always good to have a bike that got better chassis and suspension bits, and some 30 additional of that stuff we always talks about. and truck load of character!

I knew the prices before. But chose not to believe the news. Hoping that they were wrong!
    Super disappointed!
If Daytona was ~8 lakhs, I would have booked it tomorrow. Now it is out of my list.

But the good thing is, my money is with me and Kawasaki Z800 is launching soon. So is Z1000. Maybe there is a miracle and Kawa launches the ZX6R also!
    All hopes are not lost!

Someone please make a Hitler meme for this!

The way i see it.. the bonnies will sell higher nos. followed by speed triples simply based on the price mark. It is quite a disappointment considering the fact that the earlier proposed price was way lesser then the current ones especially for the Daytona 675. I wonder how will the enthusiasts take it? For 13.5 onroad approx for a 675R, if someone has the budget to shell out so much, they might as well wait out a bit and go for a litre class in the likes of Kwackers, R1s or CBRs.

    Cheers,

Damn. The grab rails look awful from this angle!!!
Good thing, they're removable. So sad that this beauty is out of reach for many people

They seem to have added grab rails to the Indian bikes. Grab rails on a 675'R' LOL

We’ve got no tracks here, then why on earth Daytona “R” was preferred to be launched before the regular Daytona.

But still pricing is not bad as many are complaining considering the R version is not much cheaper than litre class Jap bikes in international markets.

Instead of screaming at Triumph for price Jap manufacturers should be pushed to get their litre bikes here through CKD.

And those naked lovers forced to buy 1L nakeds may just settle for street triple and save some 2+ L
People like me who love naked monsters will not go for faired bikes.
I am waiting for some options in 250cc naked segment from makers like triumph, honda, yamaha and suzuki....

This thing mainly depends on the person choice.
For example, I would go for a naked over a SS even if the price would be the same..
But yea, a cheaper Daytona would surely be a boon for the lovers
That's why I said many (not all).
Some people where forced to settle for a super naked since 1L ss are a good 5L costlier.
What you said is right, but in India, not all are as stricltly picking what they actually want.

Especially those guys (like our recent 18 year old, 8L guy) looking to show off will prefer a fully fared bike over naked.

note: I didn't mean that all who buy Daytona is show off boys (cant say a word these days )
