2017 Yamaha R15 launched in Indonesia

      There is a powerdrift video in which a tip yamaha official stated that if there is a requirement we will surely bring it. Whereas earlier yamaha india head said that v3 will be a step ahead in every department compared to v2. So, i personally think YES it will be here by year end.

        I saw that video.
        That yamaha guy was not looking very keen on providing any information regarding any future launch or updates.
        Which really put me off because it means no further R3 upgrade in 2017 and also no V3 for now.

          Yamaha wants India to be the second highest market in terms of volumes .. I wonder if they won't launch global products here (R3 Abs version, MT03, R15 V3) how are the expecting high volumes. Scooters have contributed to 53% of the sales volume. So their primary focus would still be on scooters/mopeds. Guess they would focus on India specific products (Fz25) to achieve their sales targets. Indian customers look for complete package (power,fuel economy, good looks etc) which they have managed to achieve (up to a certain extent) with the Fz25. Hope to see new products from the Yamaha stable.
          Safety is priority not an option

            I'm sure a lot of the future plans of Yamaha for India will depend solely on the sales of the FZ25. A good/great response will let them know that it's safe to launch such products for the Indian market. Instead of just sticking to the scooters and low capacity bikes.

              When they launched the MT09 they said that they would follow top to bottom strategy for their product launch i.e. Lower capacity products (MT03) launch would be followed by the higher capacity (MT09) products. I've been eagerly waiting for the MT-03 with abs. Cheers

                  I remember him saying something like that.

                  With the new RC200 and Akula about to launch i think yamaha should do it sooner than later.

                    Ya lets see. Also, indonesian websites are speculating a price of around 34 to 35 million indonesian Rupiah. This translates to approx 1.78lakh !!!😲 how many buyers will it find at this price??
