Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
News Approved.
My predictions are going on track so far. Splendor Classic will be launched after all, despite the single seat and no rear footpegs visible. That might change though. Expect approximately Rs. 3000-6000 premium over the common Splendor Pro (guesswork).
"So, if the RE Cafe Racer is too expensive for us....". (Slap).... I hope nobody is thinking on these lines.
On a serious note, choice is always good. Think about it: One still has the choice to go for the common Splendor, so nothing has changed on the large. All the above 3 bikes have been seen before, and now they have launched/ will get launched.---

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
So, if the RE Cafe Racer is too expensive for us.... Let's wait a little long, there might be some better alternatives than Hero Splendor Pro Classic, launching anytime soon. (with at least 150 cc engine)Splendor Pro Classic is a bike for the one's who are looking for a bike with higher FE, greatest looks and still cheap in terms of money. Not to wonder there are people like these easy to find in India, including youth. (money has always been the issue)

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
How the hell do they expect people to ride this 'cafe rafer' with those outrageously placed front footpegs? I can't imagine any sane riding position on that

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
I am seriously interested to take a ride on the Cafe Racer....
dont kill me, but i am really interested, as here a good amount of R&D seems to have been invested(or you could say-wasted). And I guess it will have the twin seat option for sure. Splendour and single seater!!!!!

I definitely won't.. nor will anyone who has money to get a RE Continental GT.. but there are people who drool over the RE Continental GT and don't have the money to get it, this will be an option for them.. For sure the seating stance isn't good at all because of the front placed foot rest.. but for some who want a Cafe Racer and don't have money to get the RE might opt for it. People in small village and rural areas are probably the targets.. Lets see how they market it..
After all, what does hero lose? they probably haven't done any RnD on this anyways.. if at all they did, how much would they have spent?
I would say this is a perfect attempt to catch the eyes of teenagers who are in need of such bikes but don't have the money to buy it.. just to show off..Splendor - 2k to 2006

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
Yea me too waiting for the bike as my RX is up for a rebuild and was thinking of making it a cafe racer so had too source a lot of after market parts.. But thanks to hero I can now go to the showroom and get hold of the desired parts
Seriously I think hero will sell more cafe racer spares than the bike and most of the spare will go on mostly RX n yezdi cafe racer conversions..

I won't buy the bike totally but if you look at the bike part wise then this bike has a great chance of being the surrogate mother of various cafe racer conversionsOriginally posted by princesirohi View PostSplendour pro classic... who will buy that..?

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
I cant a say single word to Hero
, I want to silently wait for Hx250R.
PS: I have a suggestion for Hero, they have an awesome engine of ZMA, why not tune it a bit (as they have done it with CBZ's engine) for power and torque and then put in Impulse & cafe racer with some body and other improvements, gosh both of the product will fire the market

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
Good idea Vini but I don't think bike companies will listen to the demands of us .. the consumers. They already have many handsomely paid so called 'designers' and 'marketing analysts' on board!A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

When will they finally launch ?
I am still waiting for Hero to launch Xtreme Sports since the last 3 months, when I sold off my ever leaking & cash hungry TVS Apache 160 RTR fi. Not a day passes when I don't inquire in their showrooms or search for information on the internet. My patience is running out fast. Somebody please shed some light on this.
