Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
I guess thinner tires will help it to gain better acceleration and top speed. Weight will be the same because it will come with same internals and body parts. Some time I wonder how hero messed up original extreme with that added weight because the original xtreme with analogue speedo was around 141 or 142 kilos only but after facelift it became fat and that too by 7-8 kilos which means digital speedo, tubeless tires, tank extensions, and engine cowl added 7-8 kilos to its weight...??Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostLets not forget about the smaller tires and any idea about the weight??

Yes. That is what i meant to point out. Thin profile tires will help with better FE, acceleration and top speed..Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostI guess thinner tires will help it to gain better acceleration and top speed. The alloys might have added a few kgs, the headlight looks heavy on the facelifted xtreme.. the tail lamp too looks a little heavy..

tail lamp is much sleeker than original xtreme.
Here ware some shots from colombo motor show

Look at the position of its ignition lock, I guess its hidden under the handle bar as I am unable to find it on usual position.

BTW, the Xtreme Sport looks good in white from this angle.
NO no............ you didn't understand me. I said those shitty handlebars are not a proper substitute for properly calculated, properly angled clip ons. those bars whether supplied from company or bought at the aftermarket parts store, are all the same because they are fitted higher than cafe racer bars and improperly angled thus compromising handling.
Yes Hero has good quality and standards, but with this bike they display about the same amount of R&D skills and understanding of motorcycle physics as any Tom, Dick, and Harry.
My point is that putting those cheap bars (or cheap-ons) on the bike and maintaining the same stiffness, Rake and Trail on the front suspension as a normal splendor will cause handling issues not poor or good quality of a bad part.
