Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
The Cafe commuter
err... Sorry. I mean, The Splendor Pro Classic has been silently launched.

The new Splendor Pro Classic will be able to rope in customers who wish to buy an exclusive bike on a budget. Distinguishing features of this bike are retro round headlamps, extending orange indicators, spoke wheels, chrome finish on side mirror, customary fuel tank & side cowl, silencer can, mud guards, split-looking handlebars and bulge at rear end. All these give the bike a very retro, yet cool look.

On the engine front, Hero Splendor Pro Classic is powered by the same 97.2cc air cooled powertrain seen in Hero Splendor Pro. Maximum power and peak torque are 7.7 bhp and 8.04 Nm, respectively. This engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
At a price point of Rs. 53,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Splendor Pro Classic provides style and tremendous value for money.

Guys, it is Rs. 4000 more expensive than a similarly equipped Splendor Pro.
Do you think its worth it, given that it does bring in a fresh design and new parts that have to be handled by Inventory management of Hero MotoCorp?
Think from all aspects and let me know your opinion...

what r&d ,local mechanics put in more r&dOriginally posted by sambit View PostI am seriously interested to take a ride on the Cafe Racer....
dont kill me, but i am really interested, as here a good amount of R&D seems to have been invested(or you could say-wasted). And I guess it will have the twin seat option for sure. Splendour and single seater!!!!!
look at where those foot pegs are placed..half baked 'effort' is what i would call it. lets not insult the term r&d.
btw..those indicators and the headlight looks like good donor bits for the rd / rx's .. will probably pick up the headlight for my rxLast edited by s1d; 09-04-2014, 01:57 PM.

Man, I was sarcastic. No where I praised the product. Its funny, Interesting and attractive(in a wrong way ofcourse). Thats why I said, I want to TR it. Really want to know- "WHY" did Hero even thought of it.Originally posted by s1d View Postwhat r&d ,local mechanics put in more r&d

And mind you, its not easy to convert a splendour to cafe Racer. You need Balls to do that.

btw, i remember, in college a friend of mine had put the same kind of handle bar on his splendor, it was for 150rs in 2003.. it was ok to ride around in the city considering the youth are more physically fit and should i say daring to do such a mod on a splendor.

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
It's hard to tell that why hero has launched this cafe racer, what hero designer were thinking when they converted this bike to cafe racer, what kind of riding community they have got in mind who will ride this product, or have they tried to copy RE continental Gt, if they have then it's a mistake as even GT is not doing very good in the market even with 535cc engine, so how can an tiny 97cc engine cafe racer bike will be able to sell in this segment.

Yeah you do need balls to do it (tini-tiny balls
). Every tom dick and harry used to do to their splendors what hero did here (in fact probably for much less) and the results were always the same (crappy bike with crappy handling).
At least they could have bumped the power. I guess hero just got bored and decided to use some leftover parts from their discontinued bikes bin
.
And what a price 53000/- WOW 😲. What would that be on road 56000/- ? And accessories extra LOL

WOW 😲 bro. You actually think hero designers were thinking? When they came up with this......this ABOMINATION!!!
I think they were just bored out of their minds when they decided on this.
Perfect candidate for cafe racer would have been the zma or zmr in my opinion.

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
Thats what I am saying. When Tom/Dick and Harry do it, they compromise on Handling and Quality, but if Hero does it, It has to be Perfect(Their built quality still has no match). Yes, They could have bumped the power, but then again, its a bike for Tom, Dick and Harry. They dont need extra power.Originally posted by Balgi View PostYeah you do need balls to do it (tini-tiny balls

Re: Hero To Launch Splendor Pro Classic and Xtreme Sports Soon
Interesting part is white color is becoming more and more popular these days. Don't know if it will be able to beat current segment king (suzuki gixxer) or not in performance and top speed. I am expecting it to have better performance better because it is coming with 1 bhp more...Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostDefinitely looks much better than the current xtreme model..
