Much cheaper and better alternatives are available on eBay. In any case, bar end mirrors are near useless on even Royal Enfield bikes bro. But I have been considering it a while, weighing in the pros and cons.

Someone suggested getting the pulsar 200 rvm's to get a better view. Maybe give that a try. As I said I too am trying out other alternatives so I'll let you know when something pans out.

Yes it is stable..

On the other hand i have seen a paddock stand and its nothing but a thick mild steel pipe finished with powder coating with its end having 'c' shaped bracket
I think with proper measurement it can be made for alot less that the showroom quote its price for..

Here dealer said it will cost upto 8k for the stand

Same paddock stand is used for duke, and ns during servicing..

Spotted one 390 at NICE road Hosur road exit. wanted to come and take a look and act all creepy but a girl was taking pics and the guy was posing. Decided not to :P

Hahahha yeah.. don't want to look like a complete creep...

but look at the bright side... I normally see only girls posing and guys clicking everywhere.. but here girls are clicking guys pic on a "bike"

Guys seriously, pulsar 200 mirrors, bar end mirrors...on a faired bike?

And mate thanks for letting us know you have a dslr. I mean grow up, let others do what they are doing. There are people I know who take better pics with a ph compared to a 1000 guys out there who have just bought a slr for the sake of the name slr and a lot of spare cash with their parents.

Here it should be 390 discussions..anyone. Coming to the point, guys any idea if the h7 bulbs being used are different for high and low beams or is it the same bulb using different lenses to project a different beam pattern?

And yes the rvm's of any other bike will ruin the rc.. After all would you want to loose those pretty indicators for ugly rvm's? :P

I agree with your second paragraph.. Too many people with SLRs think they are top-notch photographers.. Well.. I'm not.. I actually know photography.. my uncle trained me here.. and I purchased my SLR with my own money.. not my parents..

Anyways.. saying "here it should be 390 discussions" is kinda hurting people who bought the 200 coz this is a combined thread and there's already a 390 ownership thread.. so your question might be more relevant there if it's specific to the 390..

The reason why the discussion about bar end mirrors is coz the mirrors on the RC are not adjustable.. I mean on all directions.. I'm 5'11, if I have to see what's behind me, I'll have to go low on racing stance.. when I'm sitting straight, I am not able to make use of 'em.. I pretty sure I'll look stupid to be in racing position in a almost stop-and-go / slow traffic..

Safety comes first buddy..

and yes a bar end RVM on a faired bike doesn't look too bad either.. see this pic..

Bar end mirrors are not useless. You just need to learn the art of using them. Take a test ride of Royal Enfield CGT and only then you'll be able to understand what I mean..

I also agree, bar end mirrors are not as useful as regular mirrors fixed to handles, the former are more to enhance style than functionality. I in fact think that bar end mirrors pose some danger on indian roads due to the gaps bikes usually squeeze through in traffic.

Hey bro, was being far from judgemental. I have been watching all the excitement everyone has because they may be getting an RC or are waiting for the same to be delivered. In doing so, guys get carried away. That's it.

And my bad, yes its for both the bikes, the RC 200 and the RC 390.

About the mirrors, I was left wondering how would a Pulsar 200 mirror fit on the RC?

Update: 760 kms, the bike showed some signs of missing early morning. It even stalled once in the first 3-4 mins of riding. Though once the engine warmed up, it was absolutely fine. Need to look out for this issue.

I hated this particular issue everyday on my Duke 390 till the time it was fixed and it took them a really long time. I hope this isn't an issue in the first place on the RC.

Just bar end mirrors in addition to the one we already have.. pulsar mirrors.. there's no place for them..
