The seat wasn't designed to be comfortable by any means. They had a display bike and when I sat on it, felt like sitting on a rock. The pillion section of the seat seemed soft when touched with the hand. Didn't try with the butt though. Would've looked super awkward.

I knew the seats arent designed for comfort. I just meant to ask how tall riders will fit on such a small seat. The pillion seat is comfortable compared to the rider seat.. no doubt.. but the size of seat matters a lot too.. ZMR has a very comfy seat and if i ride the RC now, i will have to either get the seat to be soft or i have to gain fat on my Butt

I sat on a ZMR (2014) and rode it as well. I have to say it is very comfy indeed. I being a giant did not have any problems while taking turns and the bike felt very light and easy to handle.

The same cannot be said for the Duke/RC seat. Sitting on it for 5 mins my butt started begging me to get off. I guess riders could add some gel type seat to lessen the butt pain.

Yes. Either changing the cushion and seat cover would be the only option to get the comfort.. my friend will book his Duke 390 in 2015 Jan. I suggested him to get a 2015 make..

He loved the bike in every aspect. He is 6 feet and the only problem he had was when he turns left, his left palm felt the pressure. When we checked why it wasnt happening with the right hand, we noticed the left side grip is shorter in length by almost 1cm.. is that some kind of a model design defect??

I found that to be the case with the Duke 200 as well as the Yamaha FZ-S. Both of them have straight handlebars and for some reason the left side is more curved towards the inside than the right side. This may serve some purpose that I am not aware of. But I find it strange that the handlebar was not straight on the duke. I thought it maybe was involved in a fall on the left side, but that was not the case.

If someone can clear this topic, please do.

Pics as I promised.. Perfect beauty.. Sorry if the quality isn't upto the mark.. The bike was parked in the cellar.. so extremely low lighting..
