Honda to launch new motorcycle on 18th December: xBhp News
Google "new CB unicorn" you'll fine so many sources that you might not come back to this thread :POriginally posted by Naveen1985 View PostJust because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I thinks its fairly decent.
Thing is, market is massive, obviously it seems like they aren't going for the market that is online and hyper connected... Should consider the fact that Honda already has the CBR series and is going to launch 300/500 in the near and far future for us kinds. This particular bike is for a different market... so its a fair move by Honda only trying to cement more spread in that market.
Having said that, I believe they would whack two birds with one stone with a launch of a bike that lays competition to the Hero Impulse... that would've been a better move in my opinion.

that is the only "brand new" part of the bike and a major one at that! No surprises for people following this upcoming launch for a while as they announced long back that this will be a brand new 160 cc designed from scratch.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostGot it

Main issue with the bike is, its not looking proportionate from some angles may be because of camera angle because most of the time those spy shots come with awkward angles.Originally posted by raintree View Postthat is the only "brand new" part of the bike and a major one at that! Re: Honda 160cc bike by year end: xBhp News
What's the significance with weight? I am curious about this exact 138kg cutoff you mentioned. Is it because you weigh 62kgs and don't want the total weight to exceed 200kgsOriginally posted by raintree View PostI am on the same boat as you are! Anything more than 138 kgs max on this, I will have to go with the Gixxer.

I am on the shorter, leaner side in terms of height and body mass.Originally posted by animeher View PostWhat's the significance with weight? I am curious about this exact 138kg cutoff you mentioned. Is it because you weigh 62kgs and don't want the total weight to exceed 200kgs

Test drove the FZ, Trigger, Gixxer, Unicorn and Hero Extreme over the past couple of months and found that I find it easy to handle the first three very easily since their kerb weights are below 137 kgs. I know a 10 or 12 kgs difference is not much in reality but for some reason I feel they are heavy for me and a bit taller than I would like it too. Hence the 138 kg cut off

^^^ In that case, I'd say don't worry too much about added weight. You will get used to it in no time. I upgraded from a 115kg bike to a 150kg one (GS150R). I felt it was heavy for first time, but soon I was very comfortable on it.

You are feeling that weight in case of xtreme and unicorn because you must be riding them for the first time. It will hardly take 4-5 days to get habitual of your bike's nature. Out of your shortlisted light bikes FZ is the best overall bike whereas gixxer is good in terms of performance but it cant match the quality of FZ as gixxer is already facing a lot rusting issues and and some other issues as well. For more info you can visit gixxer's fb page.Originally posted by raintree View PostI am on the shorter, leaner side in terms of height and body mass.

I was okay with the Unicorn too but the new Xtreme felt really heavy for me! Anyways, 18" wheels are not for me as I am having trouble reaching the ground comfortably which is a very important factor while choosing a bike.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostYou are feeling that weight in case of xtreme and unicorn because you must be riding them for the first time. As for quality of the Gixxer is concerned, are you talking about the rusting issue that is randomly popping up on certain bikes or something else? I find the switchgear and overall build quality on both the Gixxer and FZ v2 the same with the Gixxer giving better performance and better mileage than the FI equipped FZ v2.Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

I would like to answer this- I own a CBR 250. I weigh around 90 KG myself. I really feel, its a pain in daily city riding, Hence I always prefer my RTR in City as its extremely light and nimble. Its been more tham 5 Years with my RTR, hence time to change. There is no other comfortable, lightweight Family bike in this range(70-80K). Hence, I am eagerly waiting for this Honda. Else, will have to get another RTR(But I dont like the New Look)Originally posted by animeher View PostWhat's the significance with weight? I am curious about this exact 138kg cutoff you mentioned. Don't worry, rtr with updated styling is also on its way. After 2-3 months you will be getting 2-3 more options like xtreme sports, updated pulsar 160ns(it is coming with long single seat) and suzuki's 150cc commuter with gixxer's engine.Originally posted by sambit View PostI would like to answer this- I own a CBR 250. I strongly doubt whether you would settle for a honda bike after getting used to RTROriginally posted by sambit View PostElse, will have to get another RTR(But I dont like the New Look)
Also, is handling the CBR in city so painful? I was considering to buy CBR250/300 whatever is launched, and I find this comment useful.
