Why consciously select a manufacturer which is right at the bottom in this department? Ok maybe second last with RE taking last place.

My Friend, I have owned Hero and Honda motorcycles (Glamour and Unicorn to be precise) and I still believe Apaches are built way better than those. Haven't had much experience with Suzuki. If we are truly setting benchmarks then we should consider Kawasaki or Triumph but then those aren't exactly built-to-the-budget motorcycles commonly sold here. So let's agree to disagree.

Honda's switch gear quality is pretty bad. And I had experienced water seeping inside the turn signals and console, but I haven't experienced any problems with Apache. It has been abused way more than Unicorn and still is in the pink of its health. So I've had a rather bad taste with Honda's build quality and also the Cbr250r being an expensive product feels cheap at times given its near 200k price point (or it might have been a badly kept machine). But then again each to his own.

              Hahaha...well said!

Even I was considering my options for buying a new bike around Dec 2014, I thought "Should I wait for HX250/ try out new Karizma?". Then went to a mirror and laughed my lungs out on myself!!!

Well yes Honda's switch gear is terrible but how can you compare the overall quality of Honda to TVS? Next time take an Apache 180 at speeds of 90+kmph. Then do the same on a Pulsar 220. Then do the same on a Karizma. Then do the same on a CBR250R. Then you will know what premiumness is. But I do agree you could have had a bad experience with a Honda especially considering their poor serivce rep in India. But otherwise I have always felt Honda bikes to be a tad more solid in terms of build quality than TVS, Bajaj and Hero. Yamaha and Suzuki are at par of course.

Back to the topic, I found this. What exactly do they mean by receivership?

So you are taking into consideration the Glamour from Hero and comparing it with Apache which costs more.. thumbs up.. Quality does come with price, doesn't it??If that is the case, I would like to say that the Karizma has a better switch gear than the Apache except for the Engine kill switch.. The quality lasts and lasts and lasts and still lasts.. My friend had to change the entire switch gear on his Apache as it got rusted.. comparing a budget bike with a bike that costs almost 20K more.. That is more like it I am not sure about Honda as I never owned a Honda..

They are now planning to relaunch then zma-r ..

The sales fall for the Karizma twins and the delay of the HX250R has made Hero MotoCorp shift its focus back on the Karizma that will get revised later this year.

                          HX250R Plan Discontinued by Hero

After years of speculations and discussions, Hero has finally decided to drop their plan of launching the HX250R. Talking to the Times of India, Hero representatives were excited about Extreme 200s while admitting that HX250R plans have been all but put to rest.
The reason they are giving is that Indian biking scenario has now shifted towards higher capacity bikes and there's no point in investing into 250 cc segment. Hilarious argument - isn't it? Maybe the Apache 310R has made the people in Hero realize that even if it were launched, the HX250R would not recover the cost of launching a brand new bike with new specifications!

Auto News: Dr Markus, Chief Technology Officer of Hero MotoCorp said, "It takes time to come up with something completely new, you can just predict a little bit.
