        The headlight is an eye sore thats it. Rest of the bike is bloody gorgeous.

            After test riding TNT 300, I was sold at the comfort and handling it provided. Now looking at this news, I feel I should wait for MT-03's announcement and base my decision later. My current bike is FZ-16 which I've completely enjoyed last 5 years and I feel MT-03 should be a worth upgrade! When it gets announced in Auto Expo, how long does it take in average for it to go on sale?

              Announcement will be in Feb, soon after that you should be able to Book a bike. Testrides and deliveries should become available in March

                    "The Yamaha MT-03 naked compact sportsbike which is based on the R3 is all set to make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 on February 3 (press day).

                    The motorcycle would be aiming to broaden the audience base for the company in India when it goes on sale in Q2 2016. The MT-03 would be imported into India in the form of CKD kits."

                      Good that this thread is bumped up.
                      One more source that says the MT-03 is going to be launched soon - Yamaha to bring in MT-03, weighs new model(s) for midsize class

                      It also mentions that Yamaha are looking at assembling other midsize bikes like the MT07 because their CKD assembly line is already setup and is churning out the R3.

                          The R3 is 3.68 OTR (Chennai) and from previous news sources it was said the MT-03 would get a price cut of 30-40k? I was expecting this to be priced at 3 to 3.2 OTR which will also give tough competition with Benelli TNT 300 and a good reason to opt-out of Duke 390.

                            Yes I am also hoping for the same. Right now I am just waiting on MT03's price before I go for the D390

                                Considering the service cost this is better buy than TNT 300. Also less weight/more power.

                                The white blue colour looks awesome.
