We all have been waiting with bated breath for TVS to launch the bike that they showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, named TVS Akula, which was based upon the 310 cc platform from the TVS-BMW partnership.
And that wait is about to get over soon. There have been spy pics of the production version of this bike doing the rounds on the internet for quite some time now.
Now, an xBhp reader has sent us these fresh images of the production-ready 'Akula' and we're told that this bike might be launched in July 2017. A little birdie also told us that this bike will be called TVS Apache 310 instead of Akula. The bike is being tested on the Dyno and has got matte black treatment, but without any decals. The LED (projector?) headlamps also look quite bright!
So, we leave you with these images of the TVS Akula/Apache 310 for now and will try to get you more updates regarding its launch in India!

Honestly, I will envy people riding this. That looks so damn hot. If priced at 1.5L, will be the R15/RS/RC200 killer. Come on Yamaha, your move. Why that "pointed" out side indicators?? Include the indicators into the mirrors or the side panel like the N300. This is not a splendour or R15. I'm hating that "pointy" indicators design. Just my opinion. Not sure how one engine can come in BMW as the G310R and the same as Apache310/Akula then people will obviously prefer the Akula over the 310R since it's the same stuff for different price points unless the Akula is more expensive than the 310R.

What a beautiful motorcycle. The rear subframe seems to be of black color! And console seems to have a white backlighting. The red trellis frame will definitely look amazing with the matte black and white paint jobs.
Somewhere like this Ducati super Sports.
Also these pics make it look a lot like the Honda CBR250RR which is not at all a bad thing!

Is it just me or do these two models look different? The one with Camouflage looks a bit heavy whereas the one the dyno looks lean. Even the handlebars on the test mule seem to be rather low set

Looks like the bike at the front has a different headlamp than the rear bike, or am I wrong!

I heard TVS called a few riders from the track scene to test the akula on the track n road . A rider of my team was asked to bring his n300 and do a lap time n then on the akula n do a lap time also they asked him to take the bike for a week for road testing, obviously this didn't come to fruition as apparently BMW was against this as they didn't want their engine to be tested externally without the launch.Last edited by Deathwing; 04-30-2017, 07:11 AM.Comment
