      They're refining it perfectly. Today and tomorrow there's a track testing in Chennai, MMRT. I think this is the 3rd round of track testing here. Few from the Chennai Xbhp group go.

            Sure. I'll keep you posted with what I hear from the folks. They are paralleling doing touring (we see in various media) and track tests and looks like they want it to be an all rounder as it'll be their premier bike after release.
            I was so unlucky as both my bikes didn't qualify for the track testing (one session in our bike and rest all in Akula). They allowed all 150cc + fully faired bikes except ZMR for 1st two rounds. Allowed Naked Bikes over 200cc except D390 for the 3rd round. 😢

              Heard form a reliable source that Apache rr310s is being tested with the r3 & ninja 300 on track.. they are comparing track timings, top speed & other stuff with them.

                        Similar to Apache 200 console...just made vertical..and should have even more features I think.

                            Here in Chennai they aren't testing vs Other Bikes. They allow riders to take their own bikes for a session. And then they all ride the Akula. Waiting for this weekend's feedback from the guys.

                                After 1st Track Testing, some 4 months ago. Our guys said the bike is lacks acceleration and the top they could do was under 145kmph and the brakes could be better. They took that feedback seriously.
                                And during 2nd track testing, the bike was able to accelerate better, do 160+ kmph (we could see that in Dominar chasing Akula video) and the braker were too perfect and sharp.
                                One CBR folk had complaints that the bike isnt so refined. The R3, Ninja, RC and another CBR folks were all fine with it.
                                And tomorrow we will get the feedback of the 3rd track testing.

                                Also got an info from another friend this morning that the Akula comes in 3 shades. Glossy Black, Red and the Matt Black (Im buying the Matt one if its true). The track bikes are fully wrapped including the headlamps and with no indicators, so they didn't say anything about color and stuff.
