Those are DRLs i think. Actual projectors are housed below the DRLs. And i think there are Led lamps in the projectors as wellOriginally posted by Anand.J View PostLooks like the Akula sports LED instead of projector headlamps.

So I spoke to a TVS Service manager. Per him Akula's mechanic training has been pushed by six months meaning it runs into 2018. RTR160 is up for imminent launch. Along will come Jupiter Classic which I presume is a 125cc FI scoot with digital dash.
No Akula in 2018 made me hear a dream shattering from inside.

Saw a test mule when riding in ECR Chennai yesterday. The bike is huge, looks like a 650cc (friends used to say this but I saw in for the first time)

According to this guy its going to launch in Mid November. He had spotted it a month ago in Siliguri but did not post anything about it till today because the testers asked him not to.

As per the insider info (Hosur plant), Akula is set to launch in the end of August. Pricing will be around 2.3L-2.5L.Originally posted by abhiiceman View Post

If the pricing is true, then i think its slightly on the higher side unless they used some premium components.
Btw there where also G310R ( all the three colours, white being at the best ). The bike looked superb in flesh. The launch of G310R will be decided at the end of December (probably around 2.8 L).

When one dont have a bike, how can he generalize any issue!! I am an ex owner of RTR 180(for 70K kms & 6 years). After that I had a CBR, now a R3. I can assure you RTR was no less than my current rides in reliability/handling/ride quality. Yes only this it lacked is refinement when compared to Japanese. Know how to take care of a bike.
