      Strange that you havent realized by this point in time that the rear seat is non-existent.- it does exist but u need a model figure gf.but if it has a seat it does mean people can sit on it!someone doesn't give rear seat for no reason.

      You are just giving excuses to put the blame on the bike when in fact the bike has nothing to do with all your issues. Its a Naked bike not an All-purpose bike.
      - I don't blame the bike at all.I want to buy a Duke one day but for this particular reason I am unable to look onto it.don't get me wrong bro.its a brilliant bike but this issue to me is a big one hence I am waiting for a workaround or may be a solution.its very important for someone to know exactly the merits and demerits of bike and if of affects one.

        You could custom fabricate a longer tire hugger that will cover the entire rear tire upto monosuspension

          Yes one of my friend tried and he did succeed but the hugger looks crazy bad

            Well, yes it will definitely look bad.

            I have a 200NS, will be getting the D390 in April. I am trying to look for any issues the 2016 models might be having.

              Duke 390 is excellent in power but it heats a lot and then 3 of my friends have it and all seem to have some or the other issue and end up being in SVC most of the time.that's the only reason I am not inclined towards duke after seeing their experience

                Yea I was hoping for the MT03 to launch but apparently Yamaha thought they wouldnt get significant sales from it. Facepalm

                Instead they launched an Overpriced piece of machine, the MT09

                          I am sorry as I am just catching up on info, but from where I left, I guess, basically the side-mounted exhaust & the slipper clutch for both Duke & RC never made it to our shores; right?!

                            Duke390 got slipper clutch last year, RC390 got it this year. Sidemounted exhaust for export model only.

                            Also, "never made it to our shores"? These bikes are built here.

                              Hi guys,
                              I am interested to buy duke 200 within 1-2 month. I am a college goer and after so many years, my parents agreed to get me one. But now my main concern is that as per some news sites, ktm will update their bikes with new designs in 2017. The thing is that I don't want my bike to become oudated within 1 year of buying. Please suggest me whether I should get the duke or get some other bikes like apache 200

                                Dont worry there are lots of Duke in here so discontuning wont be a good idea.He did mention that from 2017 models will be refreshed but may be not for India.
                                Also considering the Host of upgrades it already has i doubt what more can they put on this.AMy be they will launch 250.If you want to buy you cna buy ,its cool.Its nothing that 2016 duke will become outdated.Dont think much bro.Just book it
