I too agree with s1d, this Orange and white paint scheme is too boring for the bike with such a radical persona.

Other observations I see in the pic, merely pointing out, I could be wrong.

1)Matt tank has been switched with somewhat glossy finish. One must get tank pads now as that area is prone to scratches. Tank capacity seems to be increased, which is a welcome move. hallelujah!

2) Is that a new instrument cluster, looks like borrowed from 690/1290 dukes.

3) Headlight cluster: kinda reminds me of Kawasaki Z800. dropped a below and IMO looks fierce like a beast looking to pounce on its prey.

4) Swing arm is the same as that of existing dukes

5) Is it me or the rear white section looks too hero honda? I think thats also fiber plastic. right?

6) Do I see a new radiator/radiator cover?

7) Belly exhaust seems missing. So will 2017 duke get side mounted exhaust? IMO belly exhaust looks cool. On the other hand if we get side mounted exhaust, we can expect a good exhaust note.

8) If you zoom in closely, it seems the number plate extender is also painted white plastic or my eyes are playing tricks on me

9) Bike is missing with Front windshield, can we expect a bigger windshield to protect ourselves from wind blast at higher speeds?

Now the big question, with all the speculated advancements, I am wondering duke will also breach 2.5L on road price which will enter in BN302 territory which is 3.30L on road.

Well, before the Hero Karizma ZMR was launched officially, one lawsuit by Hero got all the images removed from the entire webspace. This was sometime around 2010-12.
The old timers will remember that.

How? Through customer care?
They never got in touch with me directly. I only have individual phone numbers of 4-5 Managers of BAL, these people are the ones who helped me with the Industrial Visit in 2013. Who among these do I contact regarding this issue?

Further, Can I even be sure BAL is objecting to it? Maybe they don't care. Maybe they're happy its gathering interest and people've started saving for it already.
Frankly, how do I know?

See, I did not spy into BAL plant. Somebody else posted it on his personal FB as a public post, and in some groups.
So, it will spread anyhow, but I don't want to land that guy in legal trouble just for this. Its only "my intention" speaking. I hope I'm clear?


As for BAL, I'm giving a clear, quick and non-legal content removal method to the affected company, if they so prefer. Its not least of my business if other Auto publications or sites are not doing it.

And, I have a fantastic idea for that guy who posted the source anyways.
Find all illegally imported superbikes in your area, note their owners' addresses, you will get 20% of the bike value from DRI, Department of Revenue Intelligence. Who gives a damn if that guy pays the price? You have fun man.

Reg Side mount exhaust: I was under the impression that Emission iV norms are already met in india. The reason I am saying is because in the updated version (2016) of RC/Duke390 India version still got Belly Pan exhaust where as people abroad got side mounted canister exhaust. Why would KTM India go ahead and 'Fix' what not broken, right?

Reg Windshield: I think you misunderstood me there buddy, what I mean is the front windscreen which as negligible in the existing models. People usually go in for aftermarkets windshields and hence the query.

Regarding Price: How can you be so sure? the added benefits must come at a price right?

I posted this on D200 ownership thread yesterday, sharing same details here as well.

I visited the SVC yesterday and the guy working on my bike told me the new catalog are with the parts store. I saw them and they had one small change in headlight unit. The unit was connected all the way to the from mud guard. Rest everything looked same to me. This was named as my16 model assuming it wud be launched this year. On D200 it was everything same from the looks. Nothing diff from the side pics. I forgot to check the inside of the catalog, hopefully will do it and take pics this time...
