I believe those set of four buttons are cruise control. If it is cruise control then this is going to be a game changer yet in another way.Tour De Thekkady

re: 2017 KTM DUKE 390 Launch at EICMA on 8th November!
The KTM Duke 390 had every enthusiast awestruck when it was first unveiled in 2013. Naturally, the sequel to this pocket rocket was going to be an even bigger attention magnet. While there is no shortage of spy shots and speculation surrounding its successor, a new video has revealed few crucial bits of information about the 2017 Duke 390.

I dont think they are riding modes , i think they are switches for the instrument console as there are no buttons visible on instrument console itself.
and where is the high beam low beam button ?Last edited by DriftGod; 09-14-2016, 10:14 PM.__________________________________________________ ______________________

Headlamps will be in always on and I guess using just the pass button they have managed to switch between high and low, like halfway press will be used as pass and full down will act as switching from low to high or reverseOriginally posted by DriftGod View PostI dont think they are riding modes , i think they are switches for the instrument console as there are no buttons visible on instrument console itself.

Just love the way that it is inspired from super Duke but it looks very skinny compared to old Duke, may be it was intentional as they did not want people mistaking this for the super Duke[emoji13]Last edited by abhiiceman; 09-14-2016, 10:53 PM.

Even the current display costs around that price. no big deal putting in a bit of animation.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostThat display alone costs Rs.8000/-. It is fully animated. the current one already has slipper clutch, abs. and that exhaust, a similar one already does duty on some of the export rc's.
I don't think they'd put in TCS.. and ride modes, umm maybe not but still fingers crossed.
The 'competition' hasn't really caught up with the existing 390.. has it ?
oh, btw what was the competition?
you need to come down to mother earth asap.Originally posted by harishkumarko View PostI believe those set of four buttons are cruise control. If it is cruise control then this is going to be a game changer yet in another way.
switches, probably yes..Originally posted by DriftGod View PostI dont think they are riding modes , i think they are switches for the instrument console as there are no buttons visible on instrument console itself.

That up/down arrow, could be the toggle for the beam.
the current crop of ktm's already come with drl's.. so nothing new on that front.Originally posted by abhiiceman View PostHeadlamps will be in always on and I guess using just the pass button they have managed to switch between high and low, like halfway press will be used as pass and full down will act as switching from low to high or reverse

This test mule looks a bit incomplete (obvious since its a test mule). I don't see the front fork dust boots, and those michelins.. oh my, i hope its a one off on the test mule and they continue to shod it with the metz. maybe they chucked the metz (atleast for the indian market) to keep costs down. It's not that the michelin's are bad or anything.. they metz are way more stickier.
These guys have been making improvements and changes since it was launched, and i hope this trend continues and the motor i hope has seen some more significant improvements compared to the cosmetic bits.

Well, this is not the design that i imagined it to be , the G310R looks a lot more muscular and chunky than this and i love muscular looking bikes so the G310R appeals to me more . I just hope they price the BMW right .__________________________________________________ ______________________
