RE should tie up with some place like Big Rock Moto Park in Bangalore for providing special test rides. Even if it costs a little. It'll be perfect opportunity to test the Himalayan!Every Motorcycle has a tale to be told and there is no greater privilage in the life of a rider than to have truly understood what his Motorcycle stands to tell. Some of the greatest stories in the world are not written, they are experienced.

Classic 400 with himalyan or CGT frame will be awesome as it will eliminate vibrations and it will aid handling and agility at the same time.sigpic

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan Launched at Rs 178872/- On Road Mumbai!
Had a chance to use the Himalayan (colony friend's) for a few days. The bike over all felt very different than riding a conventional RE. While I saw it initially I felt it would be very light however it felt quite heavy once I was on it. The other thing I faced quite often, which I have rarely faced on the 2 bikes that I ride regularly- KTM and P220, was that the rear tyre used to skid even on tarmac and quite often. (as on off-road such tractions are quite common, so I was not surprised about it) This made me feel that may be the rear tyre pressure was higher but that was not the case and it still continued.
Since the bike was new and given the background about the testing of the machine, I was blaming my own riding ability on this new bike or may be I felt I was not used to it. However when I was returning the bike to my friend, I happened to ask him this and he also mentioned that the same happens with him which even he felt was a bit irregular.
Anyone here facing any similar issues ?
