So after the initial period, dropping the RS by about 10k and increasing the Dominar by 10k would give the perfect gap between the 2.
Right. I was thinking of that. RS 200 prices cannot be anywhere near to D400..

Dont know why guys have to test the top speed. i think riders should test the cruising speed and see that there are no major vibrations and how the engine performs. Why risk your life to show to public what the bike can achieve. Leave it to the media who will eventually test the bike on the race track. We will come to know eventually what top speed the bike can achieve.

        • Initial Impressions Dominar 400

Today I visited the Bajaj dealer in Karol Bagh. The bike looks super hot and big. The seats are really comfortable and you are placed in an upright position as a rider. The exhaust note has some bass but not at par with the Mojo. It is available in plum, white and midnight blue. The LED headlamps give the bike an outstanding look. There are no vibrations in the bike. Test ride is not available since approval from RTO has not been received. Rear Tire 150 section and front tire 110 section. The digital console display is informative and appealing. Bajaj has got the bike spot on in every aspect.

Eagerly waiting for the ownership experiences.

I love everything about this bike, the looks, curves, finishing, stances... etc etc.. Except for the 182 kg weight. I stood 5'4" and i am a bit scared of being trapped under a 182kg bike 😂😂

In last couple of days a lot of reviews and first look videos are coming up on the Dominar.
I also saw a drag against the D390.... with obvious results.
The rider claimed that the bike is smoother than the Mojo and also as smooth as the R3
Or at least no vibrations till 110 kph.

But i would take all this with a pinch of salt.
Let some authentic reviews roll out.
Although everything so far has been pleasing to the ears.
I can feel the eagerness growing. Haven't checked out the bikes in flesh yet.

I have test ridden it last weekend. It has vibrations, especially I felt it in idle in a signal. While accelerating it is OK. But obviously the KTM guys were all praise since it is smoother compared to Duke/RC. Gear shifts are harder but clutch is soft to the pull. One other issue I noticed for the throttle response, it was a bit notchy. I don't know how else to put it but there was some jerk. Maybe it's just the bike I rode. Otherwise it's a worthy mile muncher, 100 around 5k RPM in 6th gear. All these features included at this price is a good deal.

Of course reliability has to been seen.

P.S: my comparison is based on my current ride (CBR 250). Opinions could vary.

Read about the following in TBHP Dominar thread, which is actually taken from a Zigwheels article. What do you guys think about it ? I am more worried about the cylinder coating. Does it affect engine life ?
