      Awesome news this
Everyone knew about this as there were bits of information, rumours etc being regularly seen here on xBhp.
The official news just confirms all the HMSI-related speculations.

      Im drooling already

          2009 Honda VTR 250

Going forward can we expect this from Honda India???

Honda VTR 250 is powered by 250cc liquid cooled 4-stroke, DOHC 4-valve V-twin fed through Honda's PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system capable of around 30PS of power and 22Nm of torque..

It looks very much like the Cagiva Mito one size bigger.
The trellis frame looks excellent. If this bike is available at 180k OTR or so thats what India wants i think.

Yep. The aggressive path and the line: "those in the pipeline are not in the same segment as that of Hero Honda’s, they will compete for the same customer" definately means the sporty 150 its developing, and "are not in the same segment but will compete for the same customer" would mean the Karizma and it will compete for this same power segment.

Now all I hope is that they dont make a blunder with the 150, and actually provide trick bits such as clip ons, rearsets, sporty seating, good chassis (and retaining the monoshock). Power should be more. They have a power-commuter Unicorn, so now they should not compromise on the sportyness of this machine. Fingers crossed.
                You get the point?? :D

OT- Since when did Bajaj and TVS become world bike makers??

We have Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki officially in India. All three have superbikes on sale. Now all that needs to be done: Bring out 250's, 300, 400s based on them.....

There were prototypes displayed of the Honda CBX Twister 250, Yamaha Fazer 250&TVS Taurus 250 in the Auto Expo in 2006 itself. Can we have atleast one of those bikes please?

Absolutely dont want to spread a rumor or a wildstorm, but I heard from quite a lot of people including Yam mechs and showroom guys that a 250 from Yamaha is either in development stage, or past development stage. Now whether it will be a sportier sibling to the R15, or a normal streetbike/streetfighter, is uncertain.
