And for the guys who are complaining about no TDs. Seriously guys are you people some serious technical and experienced riders who would make a judgement within 15 minutes being on the bike !? I think the YouTube reviews are all enough for me. Idk how a vbox test can be staged incase you guys think that the bike is being projected faster than it actually is. Other mechanical things can be checked in the display bikes as well. Like what serious shit can you guys unearth which the experienced reviewers couldn't get !?
This is one of the most ignorant comments I have seen on this forum in my short time here. If you want to book a bike without a test ride then go ahead and do it buddy. Not everyone thinks like you do.

Also nobody wants to unearth "serious shit" on the bike ... they just want to see if the bike fits their riding profile and preferences. Even I got my rtr200 without a test ride (it being a naked and me having mostly city commutes I knew it would be fine. For rr310 no way ...I would definitely want to know how the bike would gel with me).

Oh and if you think people can't tell whether a bike agrees with them within 5 mins of a test ride in city (let alone 15 minutes) then i would question if you are enough of a "technical and experienced rider" to get this bike....

Rented the bike for a whole weekend , had 737 kms on the odo. The bike is well put together however the engine doesn't rev as freely as the Dukes and doesn't feel as smooth as the dominar. At 110 kmh it was vibey. Perhaps due to the run in..not sure. But otherwise bike looks very substantial

Looks great and attracts plenty of attention in red. Front headlight and fairing easily as big as many superbikes

Seating position is neutral which is good , somewhere between an RC Andrew the upright position of the dominar

Fit and finish of all material switchgear felt really good, premium in my opinion

Instrument cluster has lot of info but the main info you need is clearly visible, didn't play around much with it though

Acceleration as mam have said is very linear, won't scare or make you grin in a dukish way

I did a few acceleration runs and I just felt the engine was not rev happy and was a bit vibey but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because I think it'll smoothen after 2000 kms , above 110 the vibey nature made it not so enjoyable for me, this is my personal opinion. Please ride it for yourself if you are interested in purchasing this bike. Thankfully in Bangalore there are rental companies where you can get.most of the premium bikes.

Like many have said in reviews it is really in between the dominar and Dukes, in all aspects.

Wish we had one in Chennai too.. Could rent out for a day (or) two and check it out as you did, which would give a concrete decision..

There was one youtube reviewer who said, the first 3 gears are tall geared so you can revv hard and the 4,5,6 are short.. Though i don't understand that fully, am just wondering if waht the reviewer said is close to what you said " not revv happy".. Incase you had observed the dashboard, in which gear/revv band does it not feel good?..

Vibrations - Do you feel them on footpegs (or) handle bars?..

Felt at handlebars above 7k rpm. I still it's because bike has less miles on it. The revs don't climb as quickly.as.they do on a Duke /rc don't know if you can relate to that

I didn't knew that RR310 has longer wheelbase than Zma and others.
All reviews say that TVS did Inclined engine to reduce wheelbase and used longer swing arm for agility. This was inline with other Apache's which have shorter wheelbase. Didn't care to check the actual numbers because, everyone was saying the same everywhere. Shorter wheelbase and longer swing arm. Thanks for the clarifications.

Ran through the images again.
I think, in all images of RR310, the GC line is biased. I mean, its close to the center of circle. We all know, the GC line should be hardly few inches above the ground, but in your images, its closer to center, but they are too far away for Zma and others.
Could you check once again and confirm ?
Thanks, the drawings were made in AutoCAD.

GC and WB numbers have been taken from websites of respective bikes, so i assume them to be correct. Tyres assumed to be 17" for uncomplicated drawings.

Ground clearance (GC) is the distance from lowest point of vehicle from ground, as shown in the drawing, so there is no bias here. I guess you got confused with CG (Centre of Gravity).

your correct , it has short wheelbase with longer swingarm , which interm replicate long wheelbase advantages.
so instead of long wheelbase they just comeup with new way to replicate long wheelbase in short wheelbase bike

Exactly!!
What TVS has done is provided a longer swing arm in proportion to the Wheelbase.

Just curious, are you picking the RR310 (or) considering other bike?..

Smooth as a Dominar?
Dominar has known vibration issues at 4-5k RPM range...

On a 17 Inch rims, you need to add few more inches. Tires height. I hope that's not included mate. Also, 17Inch is Radius. Not diameter.
Saying because the GC line is so close to center, however in reality, thats hardly few inches above the bottom of circle.

raman, I did a long weekend of 26th Jan ride on dominar, 700 kms round trip. Didn't notice anything, it was a rental too with 13k kms on odo. So if it was there it didn't bother me.

Actually that way resolved by bajaj in an update....iirc its related to fueling.

The engine is borrowed from G310R, but tvs opted for bigger front sprocket which might be a part of having not so happy revving, and being new bike is also to be considered in this regard.

That is news to me, because I have been hearing the Vibrations are present, not a deal breaker, but present.

Dinesh - No, the fueling issue is related to a loss of power mid throttle, thats different from the Vibes issue. Vibrations are to do with the overall engine , chassis and components, not fueling.

Oh...may be i got confused, but i remember from owners like something was done by bajaj to reduce vibration, may be like a damper in bolting.
