  • Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!

Came back home after visiting SBM Motors. Good amount of crowd too.

TVS really wanted to show what they're capable of, is what I felt seeing 310RR up close.

The fit and finish along with strong attention to detail can only be seen in expensive Triumph and Kawasaki motorcycles. Kudos to BMW-TVS relationship. Paint quality is top notch. It certainly feels well put together than the KTMs!

Me being exactly 6ft was easily able to flat foot. The seat is wide but could've been more longer is what I felt. The clip-on handlebars had almost negligible levels of pressure on the wrists, way less committed than the R15 and RC390. Really felt almost the same as the new Ninja 650.

It's a looker and has great presence. When viewed directly head-on, the front fascia(headlights/windscreen) slightly giveaway it's a 300cc bike due to a narrower design, but from the sides and at other angles, every other layman will mistake to be a every costly dhoom type machine lol, because the full fairing on the side panels are wide like a supersport. The Red color definitely gives away a mini Panigale vibe.

Get ready to be stopped by cops just for this design alone. Adding further to the presence department are the LED headlights where the low beams are always ON, they give the Akula a subtly aggressive look with those bright projectors!

The staff were all very excited and felt they had a superbike in their showroom.

They were confident and assured that test rides will happen from coming Friday or from next Monday.

    Cheers!

Adding my two cents. Yes. The Apache 310rr definitely looks killer in flesh. The quality is top notch. No gaps and loose panels. No bad welding joints. Feels very premium.
This showroom has received 17 bookings. Out of which. 13 are red. Delivery time is 45-50 days. RTO formalities will be done by Wednesday, after which test rides will begin. The showroom staff were very excited and very friendly.

With great product in hand, I just hope TVS don’t spoil the party in service department, service should be efficient enough to handle this beautiful machine. Mechanics should be well trained to assemble the fairing properly because most common thing in faired bike is panels are not fitted properly by mechanics. And yes spares should be available in minimum lead time.

I had quite an average experience at the local dealership at hyderabad( Tvs Ramcor, near Tadbund x roads)
When we walked in there was no bike on display. The person at the desk was equally clueless about when they will get a display model or when test rides will start. His best guess was mid Jan. Wrote my name and number down in the register and left.

If we can get rid of the white band on the nose, i.e. between the headlamps then it will look even better.

Which showroom is better in chennai in terms of professionalism?
BTW when I asked Logesh Automobiles, they told me it will take around 3 months for delivery.

I think SBM is probably better, since they seem to be proactive in contacting interested customers and also have a display bike. When I enquired yesterday, Logesh TVS did not have a display bike and had no idea when it would come, though they take bookings.
At SBM, the waiting period is 45-50 days and they say they have been allotted 20-25 bikes in the first lot, which would come by January end (sounded quite confident)

I think you are right. I tried to call them but couldn't able to get the sales person on line, but the guy who attended the call was so polite. Lets see. Will try again.

Prakruthi motors Ganganagar Bangalore told me they have already received 70 bookings, and delivery within 25 days. 70 seems a lot though, they said display bike after 22nd December

For Chennai it's still showing as 2.05Lakhs

If I remember correctly, TVS officials stated that Price differs from state to state

Surprisingly it shouldn't be the case after implementation of GST..

We are talking about the ex-showroom price not the road tax bro. So it is possible..
