Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Has anyone from Mumbai test ridden the bike?Originally posted by g.1 View PostRed and Black bikes have been put on Display in Hare Krishna TVS. Test rides have also begun from yesterday.
Limited deliveries is puzzling and that too restricted to only 1 colour for now.

Add to that some dealers asking 25-50,000 rs as booking amount. If you book for 3,000 Rs, it's non-refundable it seems.
Is TVS getting over confident with their product ?
I'm very sure many customer's might have just ignored TVS and gone to KTM.

Even I booked for 5,000 from one dealership in Coimbatore. But another dealership was asking 10,000 Rs. In North side they are taking 25-50,000 Rs. This means, they'll be earning interest on that money till the bike is delivered in March or April. Obviously this is not right.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostIn Chennai, it is still Rs. 5000 refundable.

This is the worst thing about TVS. they already failed with RTR 200 and now it seems it will be the same thing with RR. Whatever reason they say, once they make some promises atleast they should try to hold on to it.Originally posted by Stani Emerson John View PostEven I booked for 5,000 from one dealership in Coimbatore. Limited deliveries is puzzling and that too restricted to only 1 colour for now.tvs probably wanted to 'showcase' something since it was already a long time this was in the making.. launch was maybe a teaser to keep the folks hooked (especially since the price was sweet). pretty sure they knew/know the deliveries will be late and it wasn't some last minute exigency that is causing late deliveries.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostThis is the worst thing about TVS. they already failed with RTR 200 and now it seems it will be the same thing with RR. just a ploy by tvs to showcase their product and keep the potential customers 'engaged' and waiting
business tactics.
i doubt anybody (maybe a few) would have bought a ktm rc in place of the tvs
considering it's mouth watering price which i think would be worth the wait for potential buyers.
hopefully it doesn't disappoint

Unfortunately it seems what you just said might be true, they wanted to expedite the launch to give something for the media/buyers to chew on. Atleast the first batch must have been delivered by now, but sadly they didn't.Originally posted by s1d View Posttvs probably wanted to 'showcase' something since it was already a long time this was in the making.. launch was maybe a teaser to keep the folks hooked (especially since the price was sweet). pretty sure they knew/know the deliveries will be late and it wasn't some last minute exigency that is causing late deliveries.

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
this is how business or marketing is done everywhere , no matter its aircraft or personal vehicle, there always be a lead time before delivery to customer.
in a month or two things will sort out i guess

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Pictures are so bloody deceiving. The seat on the bike is not at all as sporty and upward inclined as shown in the pictures. Definitely it has been changed I feel. Though the seat still remains uncomfortable as to the seat space for your bums. But it looks much better than the one on R15 V2. Also the bike is so so wide ! Like it's the widest and shortest bike I have seen. The showroom guy told me that deliveries would start only from February end. And they don't even know how many bike they are going to receive per month. However 1 batch would have 5 bikes. So all depends upon how many batches they would receive per month. Also before that G 310 R would be launched. Would be interesting to see how they go about things. Like would they be giving deliveries immediately as they are already in the production cycle for the bike.. or will there be any lead time.

If the bike is wide, how come the seat is narrow? did they make it that way? whats your height for reference. and waist size ?
is the seat too hard?

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
Yes. The front of the bike is way too wide. And the pillion seat is very narrow. The front seat is alright. My grouse with the pillion seat earlier was that it looks vertically inclined but that is not the case. The pictures, I think, are rather misleading. Though the pillion won't be comfortable sitting on it, atleast he won't slip forward on braking everytime. Also we weren't allowed to sit on the bike. But anyway I am 6' and waist is 32. The test rides were supposed to start from today. Will go back to the showroom next week again.Originally posted by kris123456 View PostCare to explain these two points. i am interested to understand better.

Re: TVS Apache RR310 Launched at 2.05 Lakh Ex-Showroom!
just evening went to check bike, what is he saying is only back seat is narrow.
both colors looks brilliant and build quality is topnotch. and yes the backseat is not as worst as R15V2 , manageable in 310RR.
i can say after personally looking the bike , it will reduce other bike sale in this category. looks really good and big
