I don't expect a price cut, I mean TVS is not known for quick deliveries and which would not lead to stock up pile.

They would make lot more money in export to other countries like USA where it costs at par with a KTM duke, somewhere around 5000 USD.

Was never my cup of tea! Unrealistic pricing is a big let down for all those who were waiting for these twins!! Ninja 300 makes a lot of sense now and Kawasaki has found a solution! Make in India and cut down the cost = better sales than before! If Kawasaki manages to price it well, people will go for it rather than a single cylinder! Be it KTMs 390 or BMWs 310r

Thank god I didn't give into this marketing madness! I have saved Rs.4 lakh already!

Someone else would be happy with the launch of BMW bikes today. Sorry couldn't help.

It won't be surprised to see discounts on these bikes in about half a year's time. These are Made-For-India bikes. They have to priced it sensibly or vanish....

Duke 390 has more power, more style, more features (LED headlight, color console, Bluetooth instrumentation, ride-by-wire.) to add, larger service network and competitively priced spares. I mean BMW and KTM both are European and Duke 390 is
just as exotic as BMW 310 R. In our country the BMW badge carries a higher status in our minds.

Let me not comment on GS 310 yet as KTM 390 Adventure will be on roads soon and I am sure Bajaj knows well how to play the pricing game...

But for now its clear that BMW is charging premium (which is fine for just badge) which is way to high.....

                    haha true that
all that event/marketing had some ktm written over it.
other companies are slowing taking a lesson or two from the bajaj-ktm partnership.

So apparently the Indian variants are priced higher than the Export variants. I wonder why......

BMW India has finally launched the much awaited G310R and G310GS. In spite of the bikes being locally produced, they are priced higher than those exported.

Very disappointed with the pricing. This is outrageous! Both should be priced 50K cheaper,The G310R at 2.49L and the G310GS at 2.99L.

The RR310 offers the same package with a fairing and a much better headlight for a much cheaper price than the G310R.But then again,I am seeing so many people saying 'tvs good for making scooter and moped onnly' and a little bit better people saying 'Dude,It's just a tvs' - while not understanding the sheer engineering that has been done. But many others, who own the bike are also complaining about the A.S.S being absolute garbage which I can agree on,100%.

One thing is for sure,Such prices will definitely keep the Squids away from BMW.They ruined the reputation of KTM and made them 'Accident Prone' and 'Plastic Bike' and what not, while not being able to understand even 1% of that beautiful Technology which their Products possess.

I hope TVS-BMW understands the problem and they rectify the pricing.

Not sure if trolling. They have made performance machines for a very long time. The Supra,Shogun,Shadow (Unreleased, but few of them running around),Fiero,Apache,Apache RTR and now the RR.

Definitely more than other Indian bike makers like Bajaj and Hero.

Don't compare BMW and KTM. KTM offers better performance and a much affordable price. Who brought this segment to India? Honda.. Not Suzuki.

Definitely didn't compare BMW and KTM.Very much aware that the KTM Twins would be of a far better choice.Nobody is going to pay for a BMW badge,They'd rather save it by going with the RR310.

This Segment - I am thinking you meant the 250cc when you said Honda.I agree. But you have to give credit to Yamaha,TVS-Suzuki for bringing affordable performance to the masses. The performance segment started in India with the 100-110cc 2T with the RX100 and Shogun. Before that it was Yezdi and Enfield which were Pretty expensive and out of reach for most people.Honda came in much later, also at a much higher segment with the CBR250R.They definitely revolutionized the market with that bike.Sadly they have not updated it properly.
