    its awesome thing to do
    all hail BAJAJ

    if not anything
this will teach YAMAHA and HONDA how to price things right
but they should not learn to remove the FI

most dumbos out there as they always do will run for this.....
baap re..... yeh bike to sabse fastest hain........
aur R15 se sasta bhi hain yar.......
and it will seriously hit the sales of the R15 , FZ , the evergreen KARIZMA , and may be what not
if it will really be out at that price
will be a nail in yamaha's and hh 's arse

now the reason to discard FI is i think bal are expecting huge orders for the carb version that they will not have time to think on the FI version
and also wont have to spend time and money to teach those stupid mechs how to treat the FI related problems

According to inflammable, a 250cc single is coming up. I feel that will be its flagship and have FI. In other words, present 220 is upgraded to 250 with FI. Present 200 is upgraded to 220.

Hope this is the Bajaj gameplan.
I do agree on the Bajaj gameplan bit, it has always played on the price cards..... but a 250CC with FI developed here vs the Ninja.... Ahem thats kinda difficult to digest!

Sigh! Seems many are seriously believing what CNBC says. What came to my mind when I saw this thread was, "Ninja launch as a competitor with price at 1 lakh."

I think P220 DTSi is a desperate attempt at R15/FZ/RTR180, not well thought out plan I guess, Bajaj feels they can clinch market by playing with 'price' and sell 'speed'. Let's see what happens.

In fact they might earn disrespect from all those "morons" who bought a 220 for its Fi (knowing the advantages)! And this coming up at a time when almost all niggles have been ironed out is sending a negative message. If any of u feel different am sorry, but this is just IMO. They cud have instead spent all their R&D to extract performance out of the Fi unit and beef up the chassis/suspension and given a much worthier cruiser. Then we would have had an RTR/R15 competitor. Till then they will be just that - BAJAJ!
