Yamaha, get ready for some Black FZ-S Stock Clearance soon...

FZ is a sturdy bike for the police work, no doubt. Good Choice for modification too.
Usually, police bikes have to be durable, as they are not maintained much. Remember those RD 350's few years back?

I dont think so they will go for YAMAHA.........
Since at the EOD Cost matters......and Buying the Costliest FZ will definetely be a concern....and rather modificatons will bring the total cost of one bike to 01Lakh.........

So far Patrol Bikes were only of Bullets....Apache's.....Pulsars....in INDIA.....

So at the end they will end up only on an INDIAN Manufacturer.....

I dont know whether FZ-S will be a good choice because FZ doesnt have top end performance and not enough top speed, which might be required in a high speed chase.

              sigpic

No man will be a marine engineer who has contrivance enough to get himself into a jail;for being in a ship is being in jail, with a chance of being drowned.A man in a jail has more room, better food and commonly better company.

wastage of taxpayers money . whats wrong with Pulsars or Apaches .

Fz's aint fast , Yamaha service costs a lot , no crash guard so when bike fall , low mileage , not a indian company

So now the Poser Police will be after The Posers On Fzs

well its like power of the blow is rests with the weapon and the wielder also. so as akshaye pointed out, they must hire some good riders....who knows they might adopt Dhoom 1 in process :P

More over it might seems completely horrible if it comes to south, especially TN..... you can see cops with playing around with FZs having big tyres and something more big on top of fuel tanks.....their pot bellys

TN xbhpians NOFM for u ppl.....

                  PS : random thought

Whoa! Modded FZ-S for the cops!! Already the bike's too low.. wondering how they would look with their big tummy resting on the tank

I think they should consider some other bike - may be the new ZMR?

personally i think the new P220 is a great candidate for this role. Its cheap, its fast and its big. Plus it is an Indian company.

But apparently everyone in this country is obsessed with big tires!!!

The Bikes are planned for Mumbai City Police only and not for other states...........
TN police already has Apache .....which hardly they use........
