Forget the pillion not wearing helmet, you will find cops riding on the wrong side of the road, not wearing a helmet at all and a lot of other antics. Cops are pretty corrupt compared to other states like Mumbai , TN, Kerala.

Initially I was wondering, they(Mumbai police) should've got a zma or something, but then thinking a lil more practically, I dont think an FZ or a ZMA is going to make much difference in terms of power/speed. First of all, there are hardly any chases that happen, secondly, even if there is, a ZMA or an FZ should not make a difference in city roads. I think an FZ is a good choice and I'm sure it will do good atleast for boosting their image.

      yupp i agree with you...
well when it comes to the traffic rules and regulations..
i guess few cities of rajasthan including mine (kota),
cops are threat, insteading of maintaining rules and regulations, they know better how to break.
accidents are happening in front of their eyes but who cares

2/10 cops use to wear helmet wo bhi sirf traffic police and wo bhi sirf naam ka (3/4 broken..)

good to know that atleast maharasthtra is going perfect with all this...

          I dont agree with this......
RTR is basically a Track Tool........and it has given power for the street racers......

Cops bike should be somewhere between a Semi commuting bike - but should also should have some power in its Mill
as that of Older apache ---- and Pulsar150.......
Something clear to say that Rearsets will not suit for INDIAN Cops.......
May be if they are used to it ..... it will......

I think, rather than wasting the precious taxpayers' money on new bikes, the govt. should focus on training and equipping the mumbai cops with better guns, weapons and disaster management strategies . Atleast we will not see a repeat of the terror attacks.

What a sad way to spend taxpayers money

Huh! What Mumbai or for that matter any place in our country needs is a 'faster & better looking (fit)' cops. Fancy machinery can come later.

MOST cops in B'lore atleast are incompetent riders. Whatever bike one gives, its a waste.

Besides, we need to understand whats the role of bikes in Police. I have no clue why they use it. Maybe for regular beats. But I think chasing is stretching things a little too far

to add to the above...i guess giving them better guns and training in disaster management makes more sense rather than wasting all taxpayers' money on buying bikes. Atleast we won't witness a repeat of mumbai attacks then!!
