I was facing the same state of mind as yours, but I am thinking of buying it.
^^^ You have the money, go for it. Enjoy it for two years and sell it. Add that amount in your 2 year savings, and there you are with any of the higher cc KTM's
but on pricing front ninja is very aggressively priced but since many people have thought it would cost 2 lakhs there dreams all gone....
shattered ! 2.85 lakhs nearly 3L on road for 250cc omg very costly. this bike will be a super premium bike for sure, one who owns it will
enjoy its exclusiveness for sure ! after 2 years we got it, i rem daily when i go to adayar in chennai i always look at the probiking like a temple and have a look and pray oh ninja come soon ! i really thank bajaj for once to bring this super bike.....

I have cut down my expenses from today - more money towards the Ninja relief fund! I was planning to buy a better graphic card for my PC, but now who cares about gaming when you have a red hot kwacker waiting!!
Already cleaning my motorcycle leathers and boots...haven't worn them for a few years, but now a bike worthy of them will arrive soon...
Eagerly waiting for tommorow to know when it will hit 'Bengaluru'

Good stuff bro! It will be good to see you buy and then ride a Ninja.

I even play with my Scale Models
2006- HONDA DIO
2007- BAJAJ PLATINA (sold)
2008- YAMAHA YZF R15
201*- HONDA SBK (some day :D)
This hopefully, might be the start of the 'somewhat affordable multicylinder' revolution.
If only the other's in the Big 4 had not phased out their multi-cylinder 250's sometime back, maybe this launch would have prompted them to come on to the scene with the likes of the phased out CBR250/FZR250 etc.
They pioneered and inspired the others with the Pulsar years back, now they're at it again.A big bow to Bajaj.
Since its price tag outside India is 4k USD
I think indian price is really justified keeping in mind indian customs and dealer margins
I dont think price will effect sales too much
Its "Poor man's Ferrari" isnt it?
Cheers
