Especially if you live in bangalore where they seem to be attempting to reach Chandraayan from the peak of each speed-hump. Madness!Originally posted by santoosh View Post

+1000 to it.
Bangalore has more road humps than any other city does.
you need to break at every signal where there is a hump..

i am not sure ..whether the ninja can take the humps ..

Dude, if you really have to think about kmpl, do not even buy second hand. Trust me. No offence but to enjoy the real fun of a bike, kmpl should be the last thing on your mind. Unless its a purely commuter bike, in that case, this kwacker will not do a great job.Originally posted by tanay View PostI'll wait and watch until a detailed ownership thread comes up. A few months later if it is proven that PBK can indeed not mess these bikes up, and if the kmpl is good, I'll pick up a 2nd hand
I think the low ground clearance could mean it might not do touring duties very well. Especially if you get tempted to ride to ride off road.

@gs
which heavier rider were u talking about :-P
I think ,buy the bike from pro biking , tear all the service coupons immediately and tell them thanks , take the bike and leave :-)
More or less they ll introduce a pblm that dint exist when u gave it for service.
few more things .
This bike will get heated up a lot when ridden in the city ,
the power in the low range will not be phenomenal , its a high revving bike , so power only in the later rpm's.
Wont ppl crib about it ??

Exactly! If everyone started being rational, calculating insurance road tax extra to last paisa and saying its Rs 10 higher than the ideal price, therefore I am not buying it, we would never have technological breakthrough's, super sports and ony other performance bikes in the market (for that matter any performance product).Originally posted by bluevolt View PostThis price is a lakh over what I expected, but there is no rationale to indulgence, is there?
what surprises me is that over here, on this forum, which prides itself for love of superbikes, the members are the most pro-active in cirticising any pricing on performance bikes. I also think the bike is righty priced and the fact remains its a luxury/ leisure sport product. Logic does not apply there nor does any pricing logic. Companies do not use 'cost based' pricing rather, 'value-based' pricing when it comes to these products. 'cost based' pricing is used in mass market products where there is competition.
Anyone who discusses 'mileage' can please go to the commuter section of the forum.

Genuine R15 owner queries! I have also heard that it doesn't make any serious power below 5K RPM. I was initially thinking that is good for city usage, but I forgot that the heating issue is also there!Originally posted by santoosh View PostFew more things .

Santa
Ground clearance also will be a major concern in city.
So looks like this is a bike to be ridden on smooth highways only.

Yup mechanics are already trained earlier this month. In Bangalore the Kasturbha rd. Khivraj PBK will be responsible for the servicing and the service manager is fully equipped as per my knowledge.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostBig Koshun: Is the PBK service network geared up to handle the service needs of the Ninja? Have the mech's been trained?
If not then I wud'nt advise anyone buying this bike, unless they themselves are ready to wear a grease monkey cap!

Precisely. In Delhi, there are trained mechanics who will handle the Ninja 250, and the two PBK service centers, I am told, are fully equipped to handle the "baby".Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostYup mechanics are already trained earlier this month.
