Wow this is cool... and as it is seeing the current trend with major manufacturers producing close to 200cc engine, I think Yamaha will have to do it if not now then later but yeah waiting for the Auto Expo and I am sure we will get to see the new 220cc mill from Yammy

Fazer finally gonna get some grunt to go with all that plastic/pseudo muscle? I will believe when it comes.
either Yam india have broken the 160cc mental barrier or they are gonna put a small rear sprocket on the Fazer which would let it cross 140kmph on an insanely long stretch of road!

Yamaha to launch two new bikes | ******** | Indian Automobile Blog | Car Reviews | Bike Reviews | Test Drive Reports | Pictures | Videos
Yamaha will launch two new bikes in premium bike segment to strengthen its market share in the segment. The premium bike segment here does not refer to 150cc but bike with displacement capacity above 600cc. The new bikes will be on the line of R1 and MT=01. Whether Yamaha would launch the much expected R6 is a million dollar question. We are digging out more details..stay tuned.

Yamaha will launch these bikes in mid -September to cater to the festive season demand. Yamaha will also launch new variants of FZ-16 and R15 in the coming months.
                  Keeping fingers crossed .

Yeah!! So much development and not one proper quarter litre bike to boast about?? Pathetic!

I thought Yamaha was and is bold enough to break the barrier, where other manufacturers stop at 220 and 223 cc......

                      Fingers crossed.
                      You get the point?? :D

This is really a great news, and as expected, once someone(in this case Bajaj) makes the move, everyone wants to follow it.

a 250cc is more practical as they already have the engine.
