YAMAHA : Revenge of the Fallen

220cc bike from YAMAHA.... Sounds good.

      Competition is taking its colors.

REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, but Yamaha never falled ever since FZ started rolling on our soil.

Who might be this FALLEN, either Bajaj.... or HH..... or may be it's HONDA ! Even HMSI is sleeping with Unicorn under its pillow.

Indian biking scenario has started becoming dense. If new 220cc YAMAHA is priced anything below 90-100k, then whatever is the launch date of NINJA 250R, it will face death the very moment it will land in showroom bcoz YAMAHA is taking our market soo damn seriously by pricing bikes with ultimate specs & pricing with sensibility too....
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

nope.... the fazer 220/250 would target the p220 and the zmr. the ninja is in a different league altogether. a bike targeting ninja would most probably be based on the r series platform and would be first launched worldwide and then would come to India.

            hmmm.....

250cc Fazer for India has been speculated for a long time...

In the recent days, i've heard about the same from Showroom's here in chennai.

But as per their information, it would have a round classic headlight.

Hope it does make it here for the Diwali!

Man!! I have been waiting for my Fazer (150) to be delivered for 2 weeks now, and this comes about!!
Can some Noida-waasi "spot" something around?

I doubt that they will launch it anywhere less than 90K!! The Fazer 150 which has not yet been delivered is 84K OTR in Bangalore! And, of course, like said above, it won't be a Ninja killer either! We can only wait and watch, I guess!

From Bunny Punia's blog, could this be the bike Yamaha may bring to India too?

If Yamaha has preponed the launch of 250 then it will definately be intersting to see the pricing..Anywhere near the R15 would definately kill the chota R Series sports bike and anywhere near the Fazer 150 will kill the Fazer 150.
Hence the price should be about 1.3 lakhs..comon it is 250cc and mostly will be Fi....lets see what happens.
It should cost that much...will definately never be cheap like the new P220...never Rs 70K..its absolutely impossible..
will this lead to more 250s in the market...but what would be the numbers..a Rs 1.4 lakh bike..250 cc..like the Comet..how many were sold?

Not starting a brand war. Just a question. Is Yamaha Fazer 150 with 14ps, 5 gears and short gearing priced at 80K+ OTR price sensible and ultimate specced?

Both the Ninja 250 and the Fazer 250 have not been launched yet. So who will die when is out of question at the moment.

I don't think it is a question of whether how many Comets were sold. You should see how many comets/aquilas were left. AFAIK, none. Each one of them were gobbled up. Even though at the time of its launch when ZMA was the closest thing to a official sportsbike in India.

good to see 250cc segment making its way...within a year the 150cc will be basic commuter segment and the 150 will be replaced by 250!!
