  • Hmmm
I think HH is much more durable(for years) then P220(use and throw)
And FI improves the overall performance and driving pleasure of the bike .
I think Pulsars are a very costly affair
I mean Rs. 70,000 is too much for a use and throw bike.
The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

    • ya, i know that...
same are the company provided details, but then again they are brochures ,serious speedo errors are what we used to see. big difference again.
      chill bro.
      that joke was awesome.vings!!
      70k is use and throw,
      then what is 91k??

      • Honda Vings and Insane, please be sensible, do not get into any war of worlds.

Honda Vings, Plese think twice before saying such words 'use and throw'.

Lets stop the discussion here on P220. My humble request.

        • Lets discuss ZMR without getting personal.

@honda_vings: Lets keep your personal feeling about Pulsar for another thread. It has no place in this thread.

@insane_x97: Lets not be dismissive about ZMR based on statistic, and see how it measure up based on testing.

Don't take my comments personally .

I personally feel ZMR will justify its overall package for the price. I got a glimpse about the bike on 'AutoCar India and Bike India', where both gave a initial positive outlook.

          • As far as the available test reports New ZMR is much more refined and faster than Zma - R .. even though i am disspointed with the same top speed figure i am confident that that FI will do real magic in the bike making the bike much more smoother and responsive bike with more mileage.. Think if you are getting consistent 45 on highways on this 223 ccdont you feel it is great ? Fi will make a difference .
anyway lets see the more detailed tets drives..

Ravi anna if you are taking this bike one thing you can definitively be happy about is you dotn need to change the user id since the new machine is also 17 bhp . (you were lying till now you were [email protected] bhp tilll now)

Dude dotn under estimate any bike.. i will tell you i am riding a KArizma ,
i love my bike very much and 100 % satisfied but i am a yamaha fan and will buy a yamaha if it releases a 225/250 cc if they release it in a reasonable price.

Now coming to the matter the new p220 is much more refined and have a really good package for the money you are giving . It may not be as refined as a Honda or yamaha engine but we should respect bajaj on their new p220 . It is giving you the fastest indian bike with projector headlights , rear disks , tubless wider tyres and a lot of goodies and a mind blowing power figures . They are constantly listening to the bike community and try to accommodate what bikers really need. And you are getting all these for 70 k . We are proud of you bajaj for your this effort
.dude realize one thing in any market you wil get good products at better rate if their is a close competition . Now other biking companies wil be forced to provide all these goodies at a cheaper rate. see how HH forced to bring a new Karizma. Personalyy i feel p220 sales will not affected that much by any new 225/250 bikes since they cannot compete bajaj in value for moeny . Just think what wl be price of yamaha 250 cc if they are charging 1 lakh for 150 cc R 15 so then also p220 wont be affected i think. Now talkign about the refinement thing bajaj is tryign to improve the refinement and i hope after some years their hardwork will be fullfilled and they will be producing much more refined and more relaible bikes and that day i will proudly shift to Bajaj .. Hats off to bajaj for their effort .. Kepp up the good work ..

            • Actually all my friendz have a pulsar .
And the term "use and throw" was invented by them.
Please don't take the word "use and throw" in a negative sense.I'm very thankful to BAJAJ & TVS because of which we will get the superbike features at affordable prices (alloys,LEDs,digital console, sports hadle bars etc)
Also , an honest biker must understand that japanese manufacturers spends ~8,300 crores(in Rs.) in their R&D compared to indian manufacturers spending only ~1000 crores(in Rs.) yearly. Hence the price difference is so huge between the two manufacturers and so is the refinement levels.

Even i agree with you mate! with the fi i think the engine will do better at top speeds in excess of 110ks or around that high rpm region.
