One thing I noticed was that there were cuttings from Bikeindia magazine of ZMR their on the sales executive desk .

I just asked him what are the features it offers over the current ZMA, but he had no clue except for that it gives 5-10 more kmpl

He took my name and number, and asked me if I knew some details about the features. I told him about the LED tail light, about the oil cooler, clipons, fairing, the colour options, the details about the speedo etc. etc....

And, I was wondering whether I was the Sales executive
This always happens .. whn i went to find out abt RTR180 . i told everything abt the specs and i asked him did u know it comes in white colour , he was shocked to know abt it .

      • performance figures of ZMR according to the october issue of AUTOCAR INDIA

0-60 in 5.20 secs (220,RTR 160,180 old ZMA betters this figure)

        0-100 in 15.48 secs (again 220,RTR 180,R15 betters this)

the mag states it's got 12 hole injector, mated to 16 bit ECU,and it also has the higher grade 10W30SJ oil with longer drain period

So, where are the gains of the friggin FI system? I even doubt the roll-on timings would show much improvement, if any! Maybe only fuel efficiency would improve.

ZMR buyers 'BUY' 'Hero Honda' and 'Karizma' rather than 5.20/15.48 secs. !

Yeah? So the original Zma should be good enough, I guess! Or is it any less "Hero Honda" or "Karizma" than the Zmr?

Ok, some people like the new looks, I get that! But other than that, very little to show for the premium charged.

                        • ^^Yes it was good enough thats why till date it was the best selling product in premium segment.

Irrespective of the fact how badly we dont wanna believe, this name sells itself "Hero Honda".

                          • I think, there must be something special about his bike. How can HH price it 1Lac with lower performance than older zma and other bikes. I hope the road tests give us the answer.

From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

                            • Whatever we speculate here, we crib about the performance, looks etc. This all is not going to change the fate of this bike...

It will sell very well, like the old ZMA did even when it was SLOWER than P220.

A buyer who wants the ZMA or ZMR for its touring qualities and better city ride than competition doesn't really care about its 0-100 sprint times.. I don't care that why I bought ZMA, rode it for 4 years and will most probably buy the new ZMR if I'm not inclined to buy the more sporty R15!

                              • We xbhpians are hell bent on proving that for us performance is of paramount importance, everyting else holds no imoprtance.

@FF: Dude there are number of ohter aspects in a bike except the performance, which matter a lot, like ride, handling, erognomics, qverall build quality and number of other things.
