  • Can anyone comment about what is regular maintenance/replacement part of ZMR's Fi system ? And possible cost ?

One more que, If anyone remove the lower part of the fairing, Is it vulnerable for engine or void warranty ? (Doing so, for Bad roads and more ground clearance) ???

    • I'm beginning to like this bike a lot now, due to the following reasons:
      1. Ergonomics: High handlebar position-doesn't put any load on my wrists&palms even if I have a 55kg. weight on my back
      2. Closed chain cover-I don't need to be bothered about riding in the rain&then lubing the chain like in R15
      3. Ladies'footrest&sareeguard: I don't need a separate bike to take Mom for shopping
      4. Bigger&more comfy pillion seat
Maybe it will not handle as well as the R15, but it will serve all purposes-going to office etc.for me, taking wife to office, Mom for shopping, everything.
Torque should be better than R15, considering otherwise they make about the same power. Again a point in favor during travel with pillion.
I'm gonna have a look at it when it comes to the showrooms here in Hyderabad.
I would have been happier if it made about 19ps.
      Quench my thirst with gasoline!

I guess Ninja pricing also adds as a point here . So you are booking a ZMR very soon!

Same here save about Rs 10000

ZMA Modifications that i think can be taken from ZMR
          1: Rear disk break
          2: Gas Shockups
3: Handle (Please comment if this is possible)

Why do you need the heavy faring in traffic

Also cant put a leg guard which i think is very good incase of a fall

          Cannot park in crowded areas

FI is an added advantage but who cares when the crab version gives around 38-40 in city

ZMA Still ROCKS in the touring Section a perfect partical bike in city and highway conditons

I highly doubt the Ninja's commuting capabilities.
Anyways, we are going OT here.
Is the ZMR in any Hyd showroom yet?

Not visited any showroom yet, so can't say exactly. I may pay a visit to HH showroom in Somajiguda (Lakshmi Motors?) this weekend. Will let you know if I get any concrete news on booking & delivery

Its ok buddy, I will be going with a friend soon. He wants to change his old ZMA. As for me, all purchase plans stalled till marriage.

A very basic question. Why not the new P220 which will satisfy all your needs and in the end will be 20K cheaper and will help you in longer run (Read Ninja)?

Buddy, I'm not looking for a bike for myself! Its just that I somehow got tempted by the ZMR when my friend was bragging about it&what all he would get more than his 75K kms.old ZMA-R.
I would definitely have to take a call on this sometime next year if&when I get the Ninja. Even if it can help me in commuting to office, I cannot take my Mom for shopping in crowded lanes on the Ninja!
But again, everything has been stalled due to marriage plans.
Back to topic, I am waiting for a full-blown review on the ZMR as my friend is a die-hard ZMA fan&tours very often between Vizag&Hyderabad.
I will also suggest him the new P220, but he is too stuck on the ZMA badge-he has not changed his old ZMA since he didn't want anything other than a ZMA!

This is what I was thinking...i dont have issues with the ZMA apart from the fairing that i dont like much..and thats only a personal opinion..it doesn't mean the fairing is bad
with the added Fi, and electronics and other stuff...the performance is similar to the old carb version of ZMA so kindoff makes me think what is the extra 20K for..
Moreover..the 220 will be coming with the projector headlamps
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
