vipin, before the FZ hit the scene all the pulsars put together used to sell about 15 to 20K units a month excluding some higher bursts. TVS used to sell about 7 to 9 K RTR's a month then. not sure how it is now!

What that statement means...
In Oct2009 Bajaj sold ~55K Pulsars, In Nov2009 Bajaj sold 50K, so 6 months back Pulsar sales was just 20% of 55K which means Bajaj was selling 11K Pulsars (i.e. P150/P180/P200/P220) per month ONLY. This suggests Pulsar brand is not as strong as projected in media, one more conclusion I draw is Pulsar sells when refreshed and sales keep going down till the next refresh, this is the reason why Pulsar has 5 versions( Classic + 4 UGs)
Now, do people plz do your math to come to a figure 6 months back, if its 55k Now

30K to 55K still is a very good progress, I assume/attribute the progress to the P220 DTS-i, which was launched 6 months back.Comment
