Dont you guys get it? We are not comparing pulsar and honda city. We are showing similarities of how a company upgrades their products between an indian company and an global one. You guys just dont seem to understand/not willing to accept..

Why the double standards man? So many people keep cribbing about what the bajaj and TVS do but when one of us points to the same thing being done by a foreign Giant .. you cant seem to take it. I have been using a first generation P180 for more then 7 years now without any whatsoever quality issues but I dont jump in to defend bajaj/tvs or criticise yamaha/honda and fully understand that developing a new technology is easier said then done moreso when you have to tackle immediate problems at hand by responding to them immediately.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostBut looks like you don't want Indian companies to give you better quality stuff that last longer. Never mind. Keep going. HH & TVS too are Indian companies. And you want to compare with Honda City??? I'm left speechless. Learn to accept some facts in life.
Damn Bajaj, they should not have come out with all those improved generations of Pulsar

So, it would be a 4 valve engine. At last. I was wondering why isn't Bajaj producing a 4 valve engine as the next logical step as they seem to have pretty much squeezed out everything from the 2 valve engines and with DTSi. Though I was expecting the P150 to come with the 4 Valve engine, I think this could be a logical step for two reasons -
I guess Pulsar sales are at a possible all time high now with the new 150 & 180. Cannot disturb that with a 4 valve 150 that could be more powerful than the current 180. Even the 4 valve 135 could be at least as powerful as the current P150.
Test the 4 valve engine structure for some time on the 135 and then shift over to the 150 & 180. End of the day sell more units by giving more options.

OMG! What a comparision. Ha ha ha, you made my day dude. I am really amused. BTW, Honda City has only three versions. The secnod version still on sale along with ANHC. I guess you know why it is so.Originally posted by insanebiker View PostDoes the same reason hold for Honda having 5 versions of the CITY?

Mr Vipin, Why are you making a scapegoat of yourself.Grow up.You are not getting anything by doing this. How hard you try to degradeBAJAJ/TVS , they will still continue to build bikes and there will be people who will put their money and continue buying them. And that applies to any manufacturer in India.
Btw, 5 days left for the Bike's official launch!!

One more conclusion I draw is Pulsar sells when refreshed and sales keep going down till the next refresh, this is the reason why Pulsar has 5 versions( Classic + 4 UGs)
You are very much right.

why the "still" in between. It IS fantastic.Originally posted by snapppy View Post30K to 55K still is a very good progress, I assume/attribute the progress to the P220 DTS-i, which was launched 6 months back.
But it is not just the 220. It is the 150 & 180 that started selling much more.
